Okay, so to start off the review, we had an absolutely lovely waitress, she was friendly, helpful and kind. However the first problem arose when I got my clam pasta, the clams themselves had more shells than actual sacs, I was very disappointed. But the service from the young lady was so nice I was willing to overlook this, especially since my partner really enjoyed her food. So I was going to leave a reasonably positive review or not one at all. But then a much older man who was either a waiter or a supervisor, maybe even manager. Came to take payment for the bill. He, without saying one word, held out the card machine, did not even look at us, said thank you to other customers leaving beside us, then took payment again not saying a word. After payment was made he then just walked off, not one thank you, or even acknowledgement. We have been in Italy for one week now and been to countless restaurants, cafes, bars, and much more and he was without a doubt the rudest man we have yet encountered. We spent €70 here and regretted it after the lack of actual clams in my dish and far worse the extreme rudeness of this old man working there. We will never return and recommend others go elsewhere. Which is unfortunate as the two waitresses were truly lovely, whereas this very old fellow who works there was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I want to thank the two waitresses for being kind and lovely, and hopefully the owner will chat to the old fellow about how his behavior towards certain customers he does not like, for whatever reason, is jeprodisring the restaurant and dissuading return customers. He should learn some basic manners and customer service. I work as a barista and I would never in my life act the way that he did, the way he acted insulted both me and my girlfriend and ruined our meal. I will emphasise once more, the waitresses were lovely but this old man who works there was rude, inconsiderate and insulting in the way he acted. If anybody does choose to go this restaurant, I pray he acts better towards you than he does to us, and more so that the owners have a good chat with him and make sure he doesn’t act this way to future customers for the sake of their business and for the sake of not ruining other...
Read moreThe restaurant itself is very nice, with a nice interior and a slightly quieter location. The food was really great, we ordered two pasta which were really good and we could not fault. However the customer service was lacking- there were 3 members of staff, 1 who appeared to be a manager and 2 young servers. The manager appeared to try and find any job that meant he didn’t have to talk with customers despite it being very busy. 1 of the young servers was very proactive and helpful. The last server however was very poor - on observation he would just walk or stand about doing nothing despite many people waiting to be served, people were waiting up to 40 minutes after their main courses were taking away just to have to call him over and ask for a desert menu themselves and when you could finally get his attention and ask for the bill , he would walk off and do other things and come back with the bill 10 minutes later. It seemed that only the 1 server wanted to actually talk to customers and the other two would avoid your eye contact when trying to get their attention. The food was amazing however tonight’s...
Read moreBe aware: this is not an Italian restaurant. This is basically an Olive garden, which is probably why we were the only non-Americans in there. Food was ok if a bit overpriced, considering it was just pasta. What was completely outrageous was the service, though. We were lured in and seated on a shared table with another couple, which was ok for us. We wanted to have a relaxed dinner, we ordered aperitivos, a bottle of wine, starters... But from the first minute, the staff rushed us to order and get through our dinner in order to give the table to other guests ASAP. This might be a standard procedure in the US, but it certainly is not in Europe, let alone southern Europe. We felt really uncomfortable, and after we paid and the owner obviously walked around our table for the third time to let us know we were not welcome there anymore, we left with a really...
