Awful food, a menu with no explanations and a waitress who couldn’t communicate. Result: The worst meal we’ve had in Italy and we’ve been here for 5 weeks. I reread some reviews truly baffled. I’m writing this mainly because I feel it’s only fair to tell others who have limited time here and so many wonderful choices. The meat sauce only had 2 small pieces of fatty meat swimming in nondescript tomato sauce, and the mixed grill was 5 varying cuts of low quality beef cooked with so much gas it tasted like fuel not meat. Our waitress didn’t speak Italian well nor English, which I guess is why she told us the mixed grill had lamb on it and a little of “everything” as she pointed to the meat section of the menu listing various types of meat. She couldn’t explain anything we asked about. And she didn’t bother to tell us the mixed grill came with potatoes when we ordered a side of potatoes. (There were only 2 of us) The atmosphere here is cute and the location is a magnet. But this is a poor representation of food from Puglia or even Italy. This is a meal we’ve will remember for all the...

My friend asked several questions but he just walked away in a huff and sent a female server to wait on us instead. Meantime, other diners who arrived after us were served their food before us. I’m a journalist and cover food. This owner had the opportunity to educate people about this particular region’s cuisine, but instead his condescending attitude gave us a bad impression. I don’t understand why people open restaurants in tourist areas if they don’t want to deal with tourists. Save your money and avoid this place! Food was just ok. There are many other places in the area with better value and...
Read moreWhat a wonderful find for us in Como. It was recommended to us by locals who said it was a very authentic South Italian restaurant. They didn’t have the traditional fare of risotto or regular pastas and that made us try new items on the menu. And I had the privilege of having some great Horse sausages. First time in my life that I had Horse meat so I was a little concerned but the sausages were delicious. And definitely try the Burata plate. The cheese was heavenly. Even the vegetarian pasta was very tasty. The service was efficient without being rushed. We were able to find a place after 5 mins of waiting even though the place was packed on a weekday afternoon. Overall a great place to have some hearty...
