Unbelievable food from a tiny restaurant run by a couple, Davide and Anita. He runs the front of house and is very friendly, but the real star was the wife/head chef who cooked everything (with one sous chef) visible from the open kitchen. Everything we ordered tasted great, especially the special that day: pesto with zucchini and rocket lettuce mixed in. If you want to sit on the terrace and enjoy the view they recommend making reservations at least 2 days in advance, but there were tables inside that we got without a wait. If you are looking for a restaurant with passion and dishes from the heart, this is a must have.

We came to restaurant without reservation at the opening time and still were able to sit, that was good. We were served by very nice gentleman, who unfortunately was bit lost once restaurant fulfilled with guests. We have ordered different kind of food which was good but main outcome was that size of the dishes was to small comparing to the price (like kids size), best I think was my tagliata, made with right level. Pizza we have taken away, wasn’t worth, it was very small and expensive, with few trufle petals

If you get the pleasure to visit Cortona, you must dine at Cortona Bistrot! The service was impeccable! The atmosphere was splendid! I will admit that at first I thought we were eating in the street (and we were) but the views were fantastic and made us forget about the few cars that came down the street. And then, the food... simply amazing! We had soups and salads, and ravioli and pasta of the day with cod. All were very good!

Now, we always read reviews that say “ bets food ever” and take it with a grain of salt, so I’ll do my best to say the same thing but in other words that will hopefully convince you.

We accidentally ended up here for dinner, on the edge of town whilst waiting for another place to open. However as we read the menu we thought, ‘ah let’s go here, it sounds equally as nice’.

I am picky with meat and fins it too strong often but thought, be brave, so I had the fried rabbitt. My partner had the braised meat which was recommended by David.

We’ve been traveling around Europe for 5 months and have eaten at some really nice places, however! We both agreed this was the first place that was a 10/10 in every regard. Both meals were the bomb diggity, such beautifully cooked meats, so good we each got a dessert just to try more of the menu. I had the caprese cake (never heard of it before) which was this rich, velvety, chocolate cake that took you back to a child like tastebuds experience. And my partner had the tiramisu, all of which was so deliciously made from scratch. We plan on going for lunch today so we can try 4 more things from the menu.

Also worth mentioning is the atmosphere, so nice and relaxed. Great music, decor, and so nice to see a happy...

I called to make reservations and the owner, Davide, was so very pleasant and sent me directions and made sure to make our honeymoon dinner exceptional!!!

His wife is the Chef and he works just as hard as his employees! When I asked what his favorites on the menu were he explained that his wife was the chef and everything is excellent. Davide was NOT joking or being kind…this truly was exceptional and literally FOODIE HEAVEN! There were only 4 people running the restaurant- him, his wife, a sous chef and one waiter. This place truly had the he best food I’ve ever had! Period. End of story. The view, the kindness, the complex flavors left both my Italian husband and I completely speechless; which for me is a RARE occasion. He promised a special night and delivered it! I was truly impressed, honored and grateful for his...
