ADDÌ Braceria — Restaurant in Cortona

My family and I have spent months in Cortona over the past few years, and have eaten in many wonderful restaurants here, but we only ate here at Ad Braceria for the first time today. A local friend of ours recommended it, and we couldn't be happier that he did.

The restaurant itself is situated in an ancient cellar containing an old Etruscan road, cellar, and well dating back to before the Romans. An unforgettable place to share a meal, but it wouldn't have mattered where we were once the food arrived. Truly incredible.

Three of us had pici pasta with fresh tomatoes, basil, and pecorino. My wife had a cacio pepe and tuna pasta. We loved them all. The lamb secondi and dessert we ordered were equally divine.

The service was warm and hospital. Truly a 10 out of 10 restaurant. We'll be adding it to our list of regulars here in Cortona....

What an amazing place!!!!! This restaurant does not require any google reviews to be a great place to dine in Tuscany, we found this place by simply poking our nose down a quaint alley with inviting charm. What we found was the most excellent food!!!! The rosemary veal plate was astounding!!!! The best steak I have ever had, no question. The service was top notch, like many places in Tuscany. But best of all was the warm conversation with the head chef (owner likely) as we left to pay our bill. Amazing! My husband I and stopped here our first night in Cortona. I was intrigued by the entrance, and the menu looked great. We had a full dinner with appetizers (polpetti di Nonna), pasta (with venison), and main course. My husband got the filet, and I got the chicken with tomatoes and pecorino - it was the perfect balance of all the flavors.
