It was a restaurant under the hotel we were staying at. We wanted to try a different restaurant because Eataly, which is next to it, is in my country. We had just arrived in Florence. And we were pretty hungry. We sat outside and just as we were about to order, it started to rain. We went inside and it was 4.3 pm queue. It was empty inside. Despite this, they first said that there was no service inside. Then we said we couldn't eat outside because it was raining. They said if you want to eat, you can sit inside, but they tried to sit on the tiny table next to the oven in the empty restaurant. We could not understand why they were so rude to a guest from another country who wanted to get service with money. They were very...

Horrible Service, bad atmosphere!

-- Our experience was on a thursday in summer, late lunch time --

The food was good, the prices fair, but the service was unbelievably bad. It started with them forgetting to give us the menu. Then my partner's pizza arrived. Only after she was completely done, my food finally came. The people next to us experienced the same! This makes for a very unpleasant lunch experience. The waiters seemed apathetic and confused, only mumbling. At the end, I ordered an espresso and the bill. I had to go inside to pay. The espresso? They forgot it. Of course. After a short argument I received it, but we will...

Really loved this place. Ate here twice in fact. Very unassuming, and most people are more interested in Eataly next door because it's got a 'name', but trust me, this place is way way better (I ate at both). The pasta is fantastic. The pizza is great. I would highly recommend this place. I also ate at fancier places during my trip (I.e Il Latini, etc...) and the food here was way better (pasta and pizza that is; I never tried steak or fish here so can't comment on these) regardless of the price. The ambiance is nice too, close to the duomo, with lots of activity around you. Bottom line, you won't regret...

Popped in for lunch with family. Great place to stop over after visiting the magnificent sites of Florence. The menu was good enough with ample choice to cater to all needs. The pizzas were well made with generous amount of cheese on them. The ingredients seemed fresh and the base was the right consistency. A well fed satisfied family came out of the restaurant

We went for lunch due to the amount of people we saw eating here. The wait to even be acknowledged was almost 25 minutes! The food didn’t come out together. The lasagna was 80% cheese and barely any pasta to it. The caico de Pepe tasted extremely far from authentic…..I would recommend you find anywhere else to it that’s worth the time and money.
