Just skip it and go eat somewhere off the square where the food and service is far better. Although the sauce on both mine & my husband's pasta dishes was decent, the pasta was under cooked (at least another couple min of cooking needed to reach al dente). No house red wine, disappointing since we've been in Italy 8 days and have thoroughly enjoyed the house red at literally everywhere else we've eaten, so clearly a common thing. And lastly, and the reason for 2 stars instead of 3, our bill was 48 euros, my husband put down 50, the waiter picked it up and never brought, offered or asked if we wanted change. this was pne of the first restaurabts we ate at when we came to Florence. Safe to say that the atmosphere was very nice as well as the staff, especially Victoria and Marco. They made us feel very welcome and made our dining at the restaurant very pleasant. For all of you Americans giving low ratings because of the portions, i admit they were small on the eye but they sure made me feel full and satisfied. Just because you lot eat pounds and pounds of food as your first meal is not an excuse to judge an authentic italian restaurant that doesnt serve portions to your likung, because frankly your portions are the ones that need a review. Look, the atmosphere of the piazza, the fancy service, and the mid food would make you think it should be a 2 star effort minimum, but the prices were straight up criminal. A fruit salad that conjured memories of Zoolander, being what could only be described as "for ants", and drinks 5-7x the price for other parts of Florence. No salads, nothing especially Tuscan, it's basically a tourist trap for Americans who want to pretend they are in Italy while enjoying an unrealistic, artificial, and overpriced deluded concept of what Italy should be.
