Warning to fellow customers--Ask for your receipts here
I had something happen a few weeks ago that I think is worth mentioning.
I was out for drinks with my mother and my girlfriend. We ordered two Irish coffees. When we were ready to pay, the server came over with the card reader. He explicitly said the total was 16 euros. I had my credit card ready. Then, he typed in 40 euros and handed me the card reader. As I put my card over the reader, I noticed the amount said 40€, so I asked him for a receipt. He became nervous and said that he had made a mistake. He said he would have to give me my change in cash. He took a while so I went inside to wait for him, but he went back to our table outside (I think to avoid the oversight of his colleagues). I forgot the manager's name but he'll no doubt be sporting his light brown Van Dyke while keeping watch of countless flocking pubsters until my next (& already awaited) visit to Firenze. ...
Read moreI didn't care for this place. I mean the location is nearby the Duomo but there are 10s of pages that are also nearby the Duomo with better service! I thought the waiter was rude, and very unprofessional. He brings you your drinks and asks for you to pay on the spot although you are sitting in the restaurant and might order something else but it doesn't matter, you are expected to pay on the spot. The chairs are very wobbly, unstable and not comfortable so don't expect to stay long here! The drinks were nothing special and more expensive that all other places around. The beer was for 7 euros and most of the other places price is 5 to 6 euros with better service and chairs. I won't come back and this place really needs to reconsider who they hire as a waiter because that's my biggest reason for...
