There were so many people queuing in the church. My friend and I casually found a shop where we could take photos. We sat down, had something to drink and took a rest for a while. As a result, we forgot to pay when we left. The shop assistant stopped us and asked us to go back and pay. We apologized and then went back to settle the bill.
When we got to the cashier, a plump girl kept yelling beside us and asked if we were crazy. I also wonder if this woman is crazy. If we really wanted to dine and dash, would we have spent a long time taking photos at the entrance of the church after evading payment instead of running away quickly? My friend and I kept saying sorry, but this crazy woman seemed to turn a deaf ear to us. She was still shouting and threatening to call the police. She also said that because we evaded the payment, we were required to pay double the amount.
I can understand that you are angry because you didn't earn the money you should have. We have already explained that we just forgot to pay, but this woman still thought we did it on purpose. You can't catch those who really deliberately evade payment, yet you want us to make a double payment. I will never go to this shop again. The service attitude is really terrible. If they can't provide good service, they shouldn't open a shop. I also hope that it will go out of business as soon as possible. By the way, this woman is the one who is...
Read moreMy friends and I were enjoying a drink when a bird landed on our table, knocking over several items, including my glasses. Unfortunately, the waiter stepped on them, completely crushing them. Accidents happen, and I would have understood if he had simply acknowledged it and apologized. However, instead of taking responsibility, he ran inside laughing, leaving them crushed on the ground.
When I approached him to let him know he had stepped on my glasses, he dismissively told me it wasn’t his fault and that he wasn’t responsible without even offering an apology. Frustrated, I asked to speak with the manager, only to find her laughing along with him, openly mocking me. When I suggested that the least they could do was comp my Aperol Spritz, her response was shockingly rude: “So you can afford Prada glasses but not an Aperol Spritz?”
The issue was never about money, it was about basic respect and customer service, both of which were completely lacking. To top it off, the drink was below average anyway.
It’s clear there’s a recurring issue here, as most reviews are one-star complaints about the rude staff. What’s even worse are the owner’s responses—defensive and dismissive, proving that accountability is not their strong suit. It seems the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree, as they refuse to take responsibility and are never in the wrong.
I would never recommend this place. Absolutely...
Read moreAvoid this place at all costs. We only stepped in because it was hot and conveniently located near the attractions — big mistake. The coffee was bland, the drinks ridiculously overpriced (€2 for a tiny bottle of water you can get for 50 cents or €1 elsewhere), and the service was downright rude.
We sat down for literally a minute after ordering, and the barista had the audacity to clap his hands at us like we were animals and told us to leave. No explanation, no courtesy — just arrogance.
It’s clear this place survives only because tourists stumble in desperate for a break. Save your money and your dignity — I’d rather buy from a street cart than ever give this place another cent.
Edit: reply: I am 100% certain of the café I visited — please don’t try to dismiss or deny my experience. That in itself is unprofessional. Your staff may wear “high-class shirts and waistcoats,” but that doesn't mean they automatically deliver respectful service.
I paid for a coffee, juice, and water — I wasn't trying to sit for free. We sat down for barely a minute, and the staff clapped at us and told us to leave. That’s not just rude, it's unacceptable.
Instead of trying to deflect blame or deny it happened, maybe reflect on how your staff are treating actual paying customers. Uniforms don’t mean much if basic...
