The guide of our walking tour recommended this place so it seems to be approved by a local! The prices are great. €5 and the portion is huge! I'm a vegetarian and I've had a disappointing Florentine sandwich experience before so I was scared I wouldn't like this one too but happy to report, I was proved wrong! If you're not having meat, I recommend the sandwich with truffle, rocket leaves and pecorino cheese. The staff was so sweet, they even added artichokes cause I requested for it. The cheese was so good. Even though the sandwich didn't have a sauce (I don't know why! The meat one my friend got had it), it was great cause the cheese prevented it from being too dry or boring. They also service house wine and it's a self-service! Fun to pour your own cup. €1.5 for a mini cup of wine. Good location too, it's next to the Piazza della Signoria, so you can sit there and eat your sandwich. Don't miss trying these sandwiches though, they're a Tuscan tradition!

We ended up eating here at least four times in our short stay in Florence because it was so good! I would highly recommend to anyone staying in the area! If you go first thing in the morning you should arrive just in time for their fresh bread delivery ;)

While in Florence, my buddy and I were craving a nice big, fresh sandwich. Stumbling by this place was godsend. It is small, but don't let the size fool you. There's always a line (big or small). The 2 gentlemen there are very friendly and enthusiastic. The ingredients are extremely fresh. The best part is the price of 5 euro, which is outstanding for the portion size. Glad I learned about this place through the reviews and set out to find it, as it would have been easily missed otherwise. This place is in the middle of a high traffic area for tourists but down a side street/alley you would likely pass if not looking for it. We went at the perfect time so that there wasn't a wait (around 1pm just before all the locals got there to line up but I presume we beat the rush that tourists probably bring around noon). The line got long as we enjoyed our sandwiches. The bread was nice and warm, the sandwich was delicious (they sliced the meat fresh), the owner and staff were nice, and the price was amazing (4 euros for...
