This place is definitely one of the top competitors in Florence when it comes to putting out the best sandwich. We got the Sloppy Rob and the Nautilus, both so good! If you go here for lunch you definitely won't be leaving hungry.

The only negative to our experience here was the service we got from the guy serving our coffee. We asked for two cups of "drip coffee" which is what is written on the menu above the ordering window. He was kind of rude and made it seem like we didn't know what we were talking about. Then proceeded to come out of the shop and check for himself, saw that that's exactly what's written on the menu. Returned indoors and served us two cold coffees. Wasn't impressed when we told him they were cold and went back to serve us two luke warm coffees instead. We just quit while we were ahead. We didn't mean to be awkward or cause any unnecessary trouble, maybe he was just having a bad day.

The sandwich was...

I read all of the positive reviews and decided I had to try this place out. I will start by saying the staff is super friendly! The ease of ordering was nice as well, they have the menu in Italian and English. The payment process was also very simple. The menu looked so good and had a nice selection of sandwiches. I ordered my sandwich at the to go window and sat down to eat. From the moment I took the first bite, I knew I messed up. Maybe I have an underdeveloped palette, but I don’t think so. The taste was just downright…nasty? I feel awful for saying that but it wasn’t good. There’s a ton of restaurants in the area, and food is abound. Again, service was great and I would say if you want to try it, definitely do so! However, for me, the sandwich just didn’t have a good taste and the mixture of sauces and meats and veggies on it...

Wow, actually found this place by accident, when we were looking for a place to shelter during a flash flood. How lucky were we !!! Sandwiches are to die for, had the pastrami with homemade coleslaw, and my partner had the jersey boy( Turkey with salad and a lovely mustard mayo), and a couple of glasses of chianti.. it was lovely and well worth every penny. We went again the next day, which considering we were staying in Pisa but actually visiting sienna that day , makes you realise how good the sandwiches were. Completely different staff, but the same great service, 2 sandwiches (jersey boys) a Prosecco for my partner and a few swift draft beers for me. Again everything was superb, and we will 100% visit again when we’re next...

L’Italia, l’accoglienza italiana, Firenze, l’accoglienza fiorentina. Ci vediamo presto !

We had a quick lunch here and ordered the Sloppy Rob and Viva Fiorenza at the owner’s recommendation and had a glass of Prosecco each (it was good just thought it important to note why our meal might be a bit more expensive). Both were excellent and the owner was incredibly welcoming and polite and very interested to see how our food was. The Rob reminded me of a roast beef poboy from back home in Louisiana with great flavor. The Fiorenza was more what we expected from a Tuscan sandwich and the fig jam really made it pop. Would highly recommend this place as a quick quiet stop or you can grab and go from the table out front. Our bill wasn’t bad at around €25.
