Hard working, multi-lingual, cheap, great service and quite funny (I said "hello", the counter guy said "hello" back, I laughed and he smiled - loses something in translation I think though). The front of house was efficacy personified and I loved her sharp and quick temperament - as I imagined all Italians to be - and she probably ensures single-handed this place is making money. Not that it wouldn't- my delicious sausage stuffed panini (almost too big to eat at lunch time) with a coke (with three other similar orders) cost me a shade over 30 euros (seated too) thus demonstrating exactly how good quality cafe food at reasonable prices should be done in this hyper-priced city. ...

The products are extraordinarily fresh and high quality and they have a great selection of wines. The food is marvellous but the most important thing is the atmosphere. As a person who has spent descent time in Florence and visit many place I haven’t found such a vibrant atmosphere and staff . Marco and Taif are a great team and they always know what you exactly need. They make everything personal and put their entire pure energy in the food that they bring you. After few drinks it is inevitable to not become close with them and this is a sure sign that you will return again. Thank you for the great memories, good, wine and lots of laugh. Founded and run by a lively group of young Florentines about 10 years ago, and now available in three different locations: on via Verdi, via Gioberti and via Pisana.

I love this place for the quality of the ingredients, its fun, laid-back atmosphere, the fast service, and the local crowd.

Go here for a glass of wine with a "schiacciata", a typically Tuscan salty flatbread (similar to focaccia), stuffed with cured meats, cheese, veggies, and spreads in any of the infinite combinations they offer.
