We went to Italy on a school trip last summer for a week, so we took the chance to try out as many restaurants as possible. All the food from Italian restaurants was overpriced and not very tasty, not to mention the stupid €2 tax for taking a table. We decided to change up a little on our third day to Florence and tried out this restaurant.
We were very surprised how affordable the food was and when the food arrived we were happy that the portion sizes were respectable. It's an understatement to say that the food was good. It was very delicious 😋😋🤤🤤
I enjoy spicy food very much and the spicy beef soup left me in tears😭😭😭 it's very good. My friend said that the food was so good, it cured his depression.
We ordered takeout after we were done. 6 dishes in total with a few starters cost us about €60. Very affordable. The best food I've eaten in Italy is ironically not Italian. If I ever go back to Italy or Florence, it would be very high on my priority list to visit this...
Read moreRude service staff with extremely long waiting time. I ordered within 5 mins of arriving and 5 mins into the order I asked to switched 1 of my dishes (fried rice which is terrible by the way to pork rice) but they refused saying that the food is being prepared. But Food came in drips only 30-45 mins later and they claim that they prepare the dishes table by table and we have to be patient (in a nasty tone). So why can’t I change my dish? No idea. Food quality wise average - heavy duty with loads of salt and oil but to be fair this is typical cooking style. If you are in need for Chinese food in Florence hop over to the other Chinese restaurant down the road - sichuan restaurant. At least better and efficient service for mediocre...
Read moreA small restaurant near the centre but not too close, pretty tucked away and you can tell all the food is homemade and priced quite well considering this. I saw the review that recommended the wonton soup so I got it and it was as expected, delicious! The poor server was also behind the counter and bless her she was so busy and I think people were getting annoyed at the service but you can’t really blame her, she’s just one person. I also ordered the spring rolls with sweet chilli sauce (ask for the sauce) which were nice too! I would come here again but get the plain wonton soup as I overestimated my spice tolerance lol. I spent €12 in total but could’ve spent less than €10 for just the main. Good for solo travellers...
