Promenade — Hotel in Florence

Find somewhere else!! Photos (at least some of them) are not of this property! Our group was told that this was a HOUSE (implying a kitchen, etc) It is not! We arrived in Florence in 90F degree heat and were told of the 10 euro charge for AC. When I attempted to pay the 30 euros for our 3 day stay, the manager told me to try it the first night and see if I really needed it. I insisted that I was sure that I would need AC the whole time (I am from the Northeastern US and don’t do well in heat). She refused to let me pay for all 3 nights. It became apparent why the next day. While our group was out in the morning, she went through and collected the remotes for the AC and opened the windows to the rooms. On top of that, she removed all extra blankets (including the thin bedspread) from the beds of any room that had the AC. When my girlfriend asked for a blanket back, she was told that “she did not need it.” All of this was a very obvious attempt to make sure we did not run the AC! So we were charged extra and then not supposed to use the AC that we paid for!!??. 24 hours into our stay, the hot water also disappeared! Again, any time the manager was asked about this, she insisted on making excuses and telling us how we were wrong. Apparently she missed the concept of “the customer is always right”. Highly recommend looking elsewhere for your stay...

All in this place was terrible. It is NOT recommend to visit!

I has been travelling with girlfriend by motorcycle. We booked apartment on Airbnb. The profile had very nice view to the river.

The troubles started when we came. It was very raining. We were so wet and cold. The woman (doorman) hold us 20 minutes at the doors. Only after that we were accepted.

Then we were come to the very small room (it is 10 square meters), it has window-to-window view (without any rivers or etc). It was not match with the profile images! In the room it was so cold (heaters were ice cold) and we asked to turn on split system for hot mode. As response we got that it is cost 10 euro! We declined (because it was expensive for us). JUST MAKE NORMAL CONDITIONS IN THE ROOM.

After we were trying to dry our clothes by hairdryer, after that support airbnb texted us and told that the host has a claim about noise (but it was just a hairdryier). And we had very-very vile discussion with the host. It was ended with a threat that if we have told about this incident we would have big troubles (and us nobody would accept in Italy anymore).

I've no told about that moment at airbnb (fearing for my impeccable reputation of the profile), but I think that other people must know about...

First of all, the host Rianna, was exceptional ! Communicative, helpful and she was always there when you needed anything. Was a big relief after we met her, she made our stay in Firenze way easier. The rooms are big and sparkling clean, bathroms very clean and the beds are exactly what you need to sleep like a baby.The view was amazing, Arno.river..Ufizi gallery..The location is two feets away from Ponte Vechio which is very close to the historical part and also very close to the street w/ best high class shopping stores.
