During a recent visit to Milan, we had the pleasure of dining at Rossini, a restaurant that distinguishes itself with authenticity and exceptional service, a rarity in a city overcrowded with tourists and catering to them.
Upon our arrival, we were immediately struck by the warmth and attentiveness of the waitstaff, which contributed significantly to the overall pleasant atmosphere of our evening. The interior of Rossini welcomed us with its authentic charm, setting it apart from the typical tourist destinations. The location was frequented by many locals during lunch which was a testament to the quality of the venue.
Our culinary experience at Rossini was nothing short of remarkable. We opted for the Steak Florentine, which was cooked to absolute perfection, showcasing the chef's expertise and attention to detail. Accompanied by a selection of sides - rosemary potatoes that were fragrant and flavorful, grilled vegetables prepared just right, and an artichoke salad that was both fresh and delicious - our meal was a testament to the quality ingredients and culinary skill present at Rossini.
The grand finale of our dining experience was a lovely the tiramisu we shared for dessert. It was beautifully crafted, balancing the bold flavors of espresso with the sweetness and creaminess of the dessert, rounding off our meal on a high note.
Rossini stands out not only for its delightful food but also for its genuine atmosphere and excellent service. It is a restaurant that offers an authentic Italian dining experience, far removed from the usual tourist fare, making it a must-visit for those in search of culinary excellence in...
Read moreFirst, let me tell you that I just got out of this restaurant 2 hours ago. As soon as you enter, you will sweat in 2 minutes maximum although milan’s temperature is 19 degrees. It is unbelievably hot inside. The place is so hot that people inside started to smell. I asked the waiter (asian looking) if he could turn on the air conditioner or have any other way of ventilation. He said, I can’t turn it on because people at the corner will feel very cold. I looked around and the last 2 persons at the corner just left!!! I said no one is there. So he said ok I will turn the A/C on but if anyone complains I will turn it off. But he never did 🤷♂️
I ordered a steak as in the picture attached to this review by showing it to the other waiter (Italian, tall, bald) and when the steak came, it was different cut🙄. I called him and I told him “I showed you exactly the cut I want” he said yes but we are (bla bla bla) he thought that was my first time to eat steak 😅.Then he said “if you want, I will make the same cut for you” and when I insisted to have my steak the way I want, he got angry and giving us the agry look every time he has a chance. Finally, when my steak came, it was as you can see. I asked for medium/well and they gave me this!!! Of course I didn’t eat it and asked for the check…. I paid for the steak just to prove my point. I eat what I want. Not what you want and I’m not cheap like you. I liked 2 things there. There was a waiter (indian or pakistani looking) he was very very polite....
Read moreWe chose to visit the Rossini restaurant for our lunch. Firstly, I noticed that our table, although reserved, did not have the amenities the other tables had. In the reservation it was clearly stated that we are going to be two persons and we had only one plate (for starter). We did not bother much and decided to share the plate, okay, not a deal. Moving on, we ordered the prawn salad, the risotto with the blueberries and the veggie pasta. In regards with the salad, the prawns were really tasty, but the green salad was of a very small portion and not tasty. The prawns were good though. The veggie pasta & the risotto in regards with the portion were very satisfying but were totally tasteless. Especially the risotto was like boiled rice, not even the texture was close to a risotto. A total disappointment. The service was not good either. While we were ordering, we were asked if we would like to have the dishes all together or brought separately. We requested the dishes to come all together and the salad was brought at first with the main dishes coming after 50 minutes with the restaurant not being even full even to half. Also the waitress asked us (after having brought just the salad) if we would like to have a dessert…. And it was weird, as if they had forgotten about our rest of the order. Generally speaking, we would not suggest this place. Hopefully other visitors had a better experience than us. I am attaching the photos of the blueberry risotto and the...
