It is not worth the waiting in the line! We were waiting for more than 30 minutes and we didnt care cause we heard that it is great. So we hoped there is a reward for that. Not at all.
There are QRs on the tables, one for WI-FI, one for menu AND ORDERING. We didnt know that we have to order through the website, cause we dont speak italian and we havent heard about that option ever. But waiter came after and took our order.
We had house White wine, that was okey. I had Marinara and it was good but I definetely had better and without waiting in a line. But my boyfriend ordered Forest Gold and that was like a nightmare. They have pics in the menu and it looked nothing like that picture. Waiter told us that its „ilustrating”. Fine, then dont have pictures! A couple next to us also had problems with that. Their food looked different than they thought it would be.
But even the ingredients didnt match. There should be cherry tomatoes - there was ONE! Cheese, okey but not good, mushrooms - a couple of them, parmesan flakes not at all, oil and basil maybe. But there was a lot of ingredients that werent in the description. Spinach, broccoli, capari and eggplant.
We told the waiter that its not red there is no sugo or marinara, not even cream, it was quite dry, so he brought a marinara in a little bowl.
We were hungry, so we both ate our food. My boyfriend gave me his green stuff because it wasnt good at all and it was salty.
Maybe we just had a bad luck. But the day before we ate in a no name pizzeria with lower prices and it was much better.
I think the pizza in Neapol is great in general and you dont have to go to these fancy well known pizzerias.
We were also in Sorbillo the night before and it was great. But we were lucky that we didnt have to wait for a table.
So dont wait in the lines. There is a great...

We had a train to Rome about 3 hours after dinner, and we were heading in the direction of Napoli Centrale so out comes trusty TripAdvisor application. Insolito was about 15 minutes away from the station and got great reviews on TripAdvisor, so "why not" was the general consensus in our group.
Now, walking there will take you through the REAL Naples...where people live. It was rough looking, but no ⁴³ger. Even the kids in our group were having a good time, knowing food was just a bit ahead. But I wanþéfì⁹Once we get close, we start to smell the wood oven (as it was over 33° no one would have a fire going!!) and then we were there, just like that. The entrance is small and tidy, as is the interior. There is seating for maybe 20 people, and we took up 6 seats right next to the kitchen, with me having a view of the pizza oven.
The food is definitely priced for locals, with things like a 1.5 litre bottle of Pepsi for €3, pizzas were in the €7 range and to be honest, it was so worth the hike I would do it every day of my life!
Every pizza lover that visits Naples/Napoli should visit Insolito at least once in their lifetime. The pizza...
Read moreMy partner and I got a pizza each, they are really decent size a plus. The dough was good tasting, and not too burnt etc it couldve have been baked for longer. The base was thin and bc of this did get very soggy. The gluten free/ vegan pizza had good base but no seasoning at all and really bland could have been cooked longer. Service fee was 2 € per person. And they charge for tap water without telling beforehand, I know that it was tap water given to girls beside us because they asked for tap water- thinking they would not have to pay for it. Not bad prices 10€ for pizza on average that are big. Service was REALLY bad the waiter didnt care for my requests and forgot all of them. I wasnt dolled up, you may not have a problem of dressed up. Have to order over QR code. ANOTHER NOTE, not many tables, I reserved in advance as I saw the reviews about waiting a long time. They had our table ready on time which is a plus. I recommend reserving in advance. My pizza was ok just soggy had plenty of ingredients but the gluten free one lacked. If there was more seasoning and less sogginess and better service it...
