Osteria nel Cortile — Restaurant in undefined

We had a large family dinner for six at this restaurant and ordered enough food that Leonardo said we emptied the kitchen!

The food was delicious and the service was great. We were told ahead of time of the wait for our food as we ordered a mix of different items that had to be prepared differently and with the space in the kitchen, only so much can be done.

The atmosphere was great as it was warm, inviting, music was "dinner chill" vibe and a welcome repreive from the rain. We were about 1.5 meters from a large window opening to the outside and couldn't feel the cold from the rain.

Lastly, and importantly Leonardo, our server was awesome!. Spoke excellent English and Italian! My father in law speaks fluently, with the rest of us understanding the general bits, and from conversations had, we really appreciated the hospitality, kindness and jokes Leonardo was able to provide for us.

Though our stay in Sorrento is short, we are very greatful to have had (and recommend) this to any first timers.

Fantastic experience at Osteria nel Cortile!

For our large party of 6 we only waited afew minutes for them to organize the tables. Our server Leonardo was amazing. Very kind, funny , and knowledgable about how the dishes are prepared. We asked about the octopus as I didn't want a whole octopus, but cut up. Every dish we ordered was great. From the soup to the pasta to the octopus, each dish was fantastic. Walking past and decided to try this very quiet place. What a find! Caprese salad was served within minutes of ordering and was delicious. Meatballs and gnocchi were amazing and served very quickly after our entree. We sat at the window and encouraged others to try! By the time we finished the place was full, happy to see that as this place is a little further down in the less touristy part of the Corso Italia.
