Basquiat Cafè — Restaurant in Palermo

Really poor service! The waiters are slow and ignore your calling on them. I waited one hour for a drink to be mixed. I reminded them several times, i.e. both of the waiters that work here. They just kept running around taking care of a VIP table next to us. This table seemed to get all the attention while the rest of the restuarant was neglected. Food was ok, but not worth this treatment and the extremely long wait. Once my drink came, one hour late I didn't even get an apology. That is super rude and not service minded at all. The dish we wanted to order was not available even though it was on the menu and the waiter could not communicate a single word in English making it very difficult to understand and place an order for another dish. We were heading to another restaurant for dinner but when we walked by the Basquiat Cafe, we were swayed by it vibrant crowd, cool music and high energy vibe. After reviewing its menu, and looking at the locals there having such a good time, we decided to eat here instead. I am glad we changed our mind and stayed for dinner. The food was fresh and tasty and the service staff were on their game with prompt attentive service without intruding. After accidentally walking into this restaurant the evening we was suppose to be dinning next door at Sesto Canto, we thought we go back and check it out. Man what a disappointment, prob the worse dinning experience we had so far for the last 3 days in Palermo. As a tourist there was no English menu, and the menu u download using a QR code is like 15 pages long with all their menus compiled into a single PDF.
