We had a perfect evening at Sesto Canto! The restaurant is beautiful and tastefully appointed with an American jazz theme. And the service and food are simply OUTSTANDING! To welcome us, we were greeted with a glass of Prosecco and a cold octopus salad amuse bouche. As an appetizer, my friend had the cuttlefish over a bed of lentils. For our primi, linguini alle vongole and fusilli with a pork ragu. For secondi, roast lamb with fresh wild mushrooms and a pork tenderloin with a pistachio sauce. And for dessert, a deconstructed cassata and a gianduia mousse. They also have a terrific wine list. To accompany our meal, we chose La Segreta, a wonderful white blend from Planeta. After dinner, Sicilian amari. Sheer perfection!

We had a nice meal at Sesto Canto, a jazz-inspired restaurant with lots of pictures of legendary jazz musicians on the walls and smooth jazz playing over the speakers. After a complementary amuse, we started with raw fish—tuna, whitefish, salmon, prawns, oysters—along with a delicious pumpkin salad and a beautiful carpaccio as appetizers. For the mains, we shared a black squid ink pasta with garlic and ricotta, and a tagliata di manzo. A heads-up for those familiar with this dish: in this area, you get Parmesan sauce (fondue) instead of the usual flakes you might expect from other regions in Italy. A special thanks to the kind people who served our meals.

A must-visit for celiacs (and non-celiacs) in Palermo. We had an exquisite dinner, beginning with a welcome appetizer of pumpkin soup and a glass of Prosecco, followed by some wonderfully unique pasta and fish dishes, and an amazing chocolate cake with orange-almond flavors and vanilla ice cream. The entire menu is either already gluten-free or can be made as such. The servers were professional and kind, and the atmosphere was tranquil and elegant (soft jazz playing and the walls adorned with black and white jazz posters.) Best to make a reservation, since even on a Monday, the place was completely full by 8:30pm.

after booking a table on the fork for the first time to receive a discount of 20% we noticed it was for the following night. internet in rest. not good so could not rebook for same night. rest. was empty so was no problem. sadly the food was not good at all and was expensive. the fish crudo tasted like nothing and the grilled mix fish was old with some tasting bad and the calamari seemed microwaved and luke-warm. not fresh at all which is a shame in palermo where fish is in abundance. we left all the food on our plates uneaten and they did not even bother to as why (i think they knew) and brought...
