Dinner in this restaurant was amazing and we do not understand why it is not more busy place. Probably because it is little bit hidden behind A hedge, with entrance from ideš (?) so people might feel strange or afraid to come close. Do not be! We have found review and while it was close to our parking spot and accokodation we have decided to go there. And it was the best decision! Service was very nice and pleasant, we received "welcome drink" and ordered 2 aperol spritz, one started and one main dish. We do that all the time while I do not eat that much and my boyfriend is not able finish everything what is left so we always tell in advance that we will share food. We have started with fish meatballs with eggplant, cheese and tomatoes. They brought us two plates and we had possibility to share food. We were surprised by the taste, everything freshly made and those tomatoes!!!!! 😍 the sweetest we have had! For the second dish we have chosen baked paccheri with anchovies, fenel, raisins and pine nuts and it was even better than the starter. Very well combined tastes and structure of food. We were surprised because they divide it automaticaly to two plates and brought us one meal divided into two. No need to move plates or food from one plates the other one. Very high level of service we would say. Thank you for very good experience and we recommend...
Read moreLiving in Palermo for two months we saved this restaurant for a special occasion based on its reviews. I can,t even begin to say how disappointed we were three guests each of us felt the same. It almost needed a Gordon Ramsay character to go in and shake them up, we could see their failings quite plainly. Everything they did was lacklustre, the staff paid so little attention to us we were wondering if we had faded in the dark lighting. The servers spent most of the night looking at the computer and out of the window. Each dish was underplayed either too cold or too heavy, bread that looked and tasted as though from a pre cooked supermarket packet. All the food seemed like the chef just could,nt be bothered. There were three tables occupied all night and whilst it's nice to be left alone it's also nice to feel some passion from the owners and staff. Save your money find somewhere that cares about its customers,...
Read moreApril is clearly not the time to fight for reservations - we walked in at 9pm, and were met with an almost empty restaurant, tastefully decorated in minimalist white tablecloths. The food was fantastic: several specials were described in a mix of our halting Italian and the owners halting English, but the outcome was superb, and the interactions were more fun than anything else. (The free glass of spritz may have helped!) We ended up splitting a tasty turkey salad and a beautiful piece of beef, with a primi course of salmon risotto and a subtle home-made pasta with a speck (bacon) based sauce in between. The highlight of the desserts was hot chocolate cake with chocolate sauce inside it. We took their advice, and tried a bottle of frappato wine, which wasn't even on the menu - a bit like a cross between pinot noir and cabernet franc. Overall, a delightful evening,...
