Il Baldo — Restaurant in Perugia

I had this restaurant saved on my list since last month, and the day finally arrived. First day in Perugia we went to eat here. We were seated (please bear in mind that a reservation is totally suggested) and treated so kind by the staff. We ordered our food and the rest was magic. It was our 8th day in Italy first in Garda and then in cinque terre, we ate amazing food, but here the food was so delicious that it felt like you are in some Italian grandma cooking food for you. I urge you to visit this place. It has an amazing ambience, friendly staff and delicious food. We left by making a reservation for the next day. We had a really good meal at Il Baldo while visiting Perugia. Tucked away on a quiet side street, the outdoor seating had a calm, relaxed vibe—cool shade, cobbled stone, and a welcome break from the bustle.

We shared a sampler plate to start, followed by a flavorful truffle pasta in the Perugia style—earthy, satisfying, and well-executed. The four-cheese pizza was rich and comforting, with a crispy crust and perfectly melted blend of cheeses.

Friendly service, generous portions, and a lovely setting. A solid spot for a relaxed and tasty meal in the heart of Perugia. 🍝🍕🌿

Very good ambience, set in a cozy and intimate street of Perugian centre. They make typical truffle pasta. I would have preferred if they added a few parmesan or put some on the side if customers want it. They were generous with the truffle and the portion size. The beer is a traditional one from Perugia as well. I really enjoyed the Olive ascolane which were really crispy and tasty.
