I’ve been to this gelateria 3 times over two days and every time has been excellent.
The entitlement of people to just expect staff to know and speak English is astounding. We as tourists are visitors and therefore should at least be willing to do the bare minimum in learning the basics of the local language.
I’ve found the staff here very friendly and helpful each time. I try to call things by their Italian name, greet and thank in Italian, and chain together basic sentences, all of which google translate can teach you in a matter of minutes.

Perhaps business is just too good for this tourist trap on a hot afternoon & everyone getting off the train hopingtoget something cold & refreshing. Unfortunately in addition to the gelato, we also get a cold unhospitable treatment. The tables in front of the gelataria are reserved for Bar Centrale but they don't forewarn that gelato is for takeaway only.
