Trattoria Tamanaco — Restaurant in Riomaggiore

Extremely disappointing experience. From the moment we arrived, the service was chaotic and painfully slow. We waited over 30 minutes just to place our order, and it felt like the staff was completely overwhelmed or simply didn’t care. No one checked on us, and getting basic things like water or napkins required multiple requests.

When the food finally came, it was a letdown across the board — bland, poorly prepared, and clearly made with low-quality ingredients. Absolutely nothing stood out, and some of the dishes were barely warm. For what we got, the prices were shockingly high — totally out of line with both the service and the quality.

Save your time and money — I would never return.

Ho avuto modo di cenare in questo ristorantino a inizio giugno e devo ammettere che è stata una bellissima scoperta. Come ormai sappiamo, Riomaggiore (per quanto bellissima e unica che sia), in questi anni ha perso molta della sua autenticità, andando ad omologare e appiattire (ahimè) la proposta di molti ristoranti alle esigenze del “turista medio straniero”; cercare, quindi, un ristorante dove mangiare bene e pagare un conto relativamente onesto è stata una impresa ardua, ma mi sento di dire che ce l’abbiamo fatta!

Il locale si presenta molto carino e curato sia internamente che esternamente, situato in una zona di Riomaggiore molto tranquilla e appartata, lontana dalla bolgia di turisti della via più centrale. Contrariamente da tanti altri ristoranti che presentano un menù più turistico, il menù del ristorante Tamanaco l’ho trovato essenziale ma ben bilanciato, con una grande valorizzazione dei prodotti e degli ingredienti locali, con proposte interessanti e non banali.

Il personale è stato estremamente disponibile e gentile, in grado di dare ottimi consigli sulla scelta dei piatti.

Personalmente ho adorato i testaroli con ragù di muscoli (tra l’altro consigliato dalla cameriera): ottima la pasta ma sopratutto il sugo, che si presentava super saporito e ricco di muscoli. Come secondo ho preso i muscoli ripieni (anche questi buonissimi).

Forse l’unica cosa che mi permetto di segnalare è il prezzo leggermente sopra le mie aspettative, ma ad ogni modo lo consiglierò...

We had a great dining experience here on May 16/25. I wish I could had gotten the name of the beautiful young lady who went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable evening. If you are looking for fabulous food prepared to perfection, kind and friendly service and delicious wines, I would highly recommend ! We were out celebrating our daughter’s birthday and it was one of the best meals we have eaten since starting our vacation nearly...
