Sucks that you can not leave zero stars. My family was visiting from NYC and it was their last day in rome so I decided to take them to this place which turned out to be the equivalent of a hell hole. So it starts out fine we walk in and ask for a table outside since the weather was so beautiful. We were ready to order so i called the waiter over but he got stopped by the table adjacent to us. Ive been living in Italy for a bit so i picked up some Italian and heard them say to him "why are 'these' near us?" Then they continue badmouthing us whilst giving us nasty looks. All of this is because two of my guest were wearing hijabs. Then the waiter gets swayed by their opinions and treats us poorly. First he does not take our orders properly by not even looking us in the eyes. Then he could not be bothered to serve us anymore so his colleague takes over, which leads to a further delay in the food. Next when the food finally arrives its terrible and to salty. I was about to make a complaint but my family told me to just leave it be, so I let it slide. While all this was going on the table that complained constantly gave us nasty looks as if we had garbage smeared on our faces. Finally we decide to finish the tragic experience and not get second or third courses, so we ask for the check and the new waiter takes a decade to bring it. When he finally brings it i pay with card and as i am about to take out a tip he closes the check book and says in the most disingenuous way " Thank you! Goodbye!". Tl;dr The food was undercooked and salty to the point to that a healthy person would get kidney stones, and it was expensive. Next the service was terrible or was terrible if you are not white or Italian. Don’t visit...

We entered the restaurant at 13:30pm , 2 hours before closing time. As soon as we sat we were given the menus and no kidding in less than a minute we were told by the rude waiter Domenico that we should order quickly as the “kitchen won’t be open all day” . We asked for a “glass of white wine and a glass of red wine” and Mr Rude said he didn’t understand English so we had to tell him in Italian, which is totally fine but one would expect that a waiter in Rome would know some basic English. The first disappointment came when the table next to ours asked for “a glass of white wine” and he clearly understood. The second disappointment came when the glass of red wine tasted terrible. Never have I ever been given a terrible glass of wine in Italy that burnt my throat.

The food was ok. Nothing to die for, nothing special for the price we paid. We were rushed through our meal by the same rude waiter, one of us was still eating our main dish when he asked if we wanted deserts! We ordered one dry Babà and one super creamy and tasteless Tiramisù. Again, one would expect better given the place and the prices. We had to ask for the bill as the waiter kept standing next to our table when it wasn’t even closing time yet!

All in all, this was not a pleasant experience at all. Would definitely not return and would advise Mr Domenico to either change his attitude or...

This restuarant offered the wildest feeling of being uncomfortable as I ever remember having. Moderately busy inside and out, upon arrival was told they couldn't offer a table outside due to reservations as such we decided to go elsewhere, in saying Gracie, and walking away the staff huffed puffed and blew a table together and seated us. Throughout the dining experience the staff corrected the way I placed my plate. The way in which my table was angled (though they set it) how I drank my wine to a point I almost invited them to dine with me. Now, as people arrived and left a pattern emerged. Italian speaking guests were welcomed with open arms, hand shakes, kisses, and sat wherever they wanted where as English/International guests were asked to sit deep in the restuarant and rushed out. The bill, had taken for water/bread we hadnt asked for and a service charge, perhaps for all the advise they gave me? The food was lovely and I usually say, half a rating is the taste and half the experience but with repetitive interruptions to tell me how to eat, an expensive bill and what I can only gather was a underlying racism. Its...

Excellent Roman restaurant near the British Embassy. Staying very close at the Smooth Hotel Termini, I walked the short distance for dinner on my first night in town as it was raining. The atmosphere is nice (white table cloth). The menu was also in English and the excellent female waiter quickly switched to perfect English after hearing my butchered Italian speaking. She recommended a mushroom special that was heavenly (cooked perfectly). I got the sliced steak with Gorgonzola sauce secondi and a Roman artichoke appetizer. The single artichoke was cooked perfectly bathed in olive oil and garlic. The secondi beef was also very good. Overall a expertly cooked meal that was in right-sized portions (not huge). The artichoke as an appetizer, secondi with mushroom side and glass of house red wine came to 56 euro total. Overall a pleasant experience with good food. Recommended if in the area.
