Nice atmosphere. But that's it.
The reason for the very low rating is because they served me raw chicken. When I told the owner/waitress it was raw, she insisted that I was wrong and that it was cooked. It was only when I put on the flash light on my phone to reveal the completely pink and bloody chicken drumstick that she agreed that it was infact raw.
She then apologized and I thought I'd receive a new dish, however she literally microwaved the same piece of chicken and gave it back to me.
The part that really upset me was the fact that ontop of the bad food experience I just had, they still had the audacity to charge me a 4 euros service fee. FOR WHAT!?
I am African myself and it seems like they give better service to non-African people. Because the couple sitting next to me and my gf had their dirty plates removed while we sat with dirty plates until we had to got up and paid. I don't know if it is always like this but it WAS MY EXPERIENCE.
I was really looking forward to this restaurant buT I am just left heartbroken after the experience. I didn't have very high expectations but for 34 euros of my hard earned money, I don't recommend this place at all.
You guys definitely...
Read moreThis place is amazing!! Best Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine in Rome, hands down. A friend and I visited Italy for 3 weeks and were looking for some authentic food from home, since we are Ethiopian. We searched and tried two other mediocre, disappointing restaurants before finding this place. Third time was the charm! We loved the atmosphere, the very hospitable owner, Yoseph, and of course the food - so much so that we brought our other visiting family members (about 10 of us) there the very next day, and every single person was impressed! We couldn’t get enough of the “key tibs” and “firfir” and the “injera” itself - it was all so tasty, fresh, and nostalgic of back home. Of course, the night before leaving Rome, Yoseph was so kind to let four of us bring our luggage into the restaurant just so we could eat there one last time before leaving. Yes, we visited a THIRD time! It was so worth it!! You’ll want to visit the Horn of Africa after trying this place. P.S. If you’re a beer-drinker, try the imported beers St....
Read moreI recently dined at this cozy little Habesha restaurant and had an outstanding experience. The Tibs (beef) was amazing—tender, juicy, and perfectly cooked with just the right amount of seasoning. Kitfo was also great with extra spicy kick. Each bite was bursting with flavor, making it easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. The veggie combo was also delightful, offering a great variety of well-prepared and flavorful vegetables that complemented the Tibs perfectly.
The ambience of the restaurant added to the overall experience. It was warm and inviting, with a relaxed atmosphere that made it easy to enjoy the meal. The owner was particularly pleasant, taking the time to chat with customers and ensure everyone was having a great time. It’s clear that they take pride in both the food and the service, making this restaurant...
