We went here twice because of the low prices and wonderful authentic food choices. Not sure on these other reviews because in the tourist areas anywhere you will pay more it’s a given. These are small shops run by locals not McDonalds in the US folks though you were willing to spend eight dollars a drink at Starbucks every single day twice a day in the US , this is locally made food, not processed and manufactured like Starbucks and McDonald’s, let’s get real here . Be kind a give a little more as they do not ask for tips like in the US. They are charging a very rare price for what you get and it’s a small business wake up guys! It’s embarrassing these reviews from American tourists that’s why we aren’t liked so much in Europe. Americans that have enough money to fly here should be ready to spend for these poorer countries that rely on our tourism dollars. Officially off my soapbox traveler from Atlanta 🤌🏼🤌🏼service was wonderful loved the grandma taking payment and paini as well as the melon with authentic prosciutto is a must here!! Don’t skip the homemade...
Read moreIf you are English I would not advise dining here. You basically get what you pay for, but nothing more. This is actually the second time I visited, giving them the benefit of doubt on the first occasion. However, upon visiting for the second time and being served by the same waitress I came to deduce there are two levels of service offered, depending upon whether your 'face fits'. I politely asked the waitress to help me understand why this was the case. Her expression was one of someone who appeared to have been rumbled and conveniently stated she did not understand English. I do not believe this to have been the case as I had heard her communicating with other diners in English. I appreciate this is a small point in the big scheme of things and someone could easily tell me to 'get a life', but for the record, I am not an impolite, rude obnoxious 'Brit-abroad', I think we should all be...
Read moreOne of the most expensive coffee I had in Rome. But given the location it could even be fine, but most of all, one of the worst coffee I ever had in my life. I could not even finish it! The coffe is burnt, acid, kind of sour, from a machine that does not get cleaned and the barman does not do the "spurgo", I was brave enough to get the coffe "in vetro", but would have been better not to see. Left over power in the bottom of the glass and generally not a nice coffe smell either. I understand that the position and the foreign customers allow for a lack of care, but I want to warn also those people that think of going there once for a coffe (and of course...
