Had a disappointing experience. The restaurant is located in a quiet and charming piazza so we thought we would give it a chance since it looked nice and was empty compared to the restaurant on the other side of the piazza. The atmosphere was nice, but the food was not particularly memorable. However, what really soured me on the entire experience was the reaction the staff had to their own mistake. We asked for still water, but they brought sparkling. We told them we had asked for still and they acted annoyed but brought it. They never took away the glasses or the bottle of sparkling water. Then when the check came there was a charge for the sparkling water. We brought the charge to their attention, and again it was a big deal. Even though half the bottle of sparkling water was still there (because another waiter had poured some of it into our glasses before we realized it wasn't still), they made a big deal that we had consumed it. What were we supposed to do it with it, then? This fuss was all over 3 Euros on a 90+ Euro tab! This wasn't even an issue of not wanting to pay for water - we just didn't want to pay for what we didn't order. The owner/manager even came out to glare at us while talking with the waiter, as if we were supposed to feel guilty or something. Really disappointing they would have such an attitude to customers over such a trivial amount that was their fault to begin with. The final straw was the waiter asking how much of a tip we wanted to leave. Whenever I am directly asked like that, I will always tip much less than I would have otherwise. This was a disappointing end to a...

Found this place after walking through a nice alley on our way back from a tour. The outside patio area looked quaint and inviting.

The menu was on the pricier end, but decided to try. We were seated inside. They had wine bottles on the wall and the atmosphere was nice. The server was friendly, which made it welcoming at first.

The server brought bread to us, which we thought was initally free as a few of the restaurants we have been to, did not charge for bread. It was not free, the server did not say anything to us, and found out at the end with the bill, and that was unfortunate as we would've declined it.

We decided to order the appetizer the octopus -Luciano style, and for mains, the Gnocchi with tomato sauce and bacon and Spaghetti with clams along with 2 glasses of wine.

The food was disappointing. The octopus appetizer was not good, it was chewy, and just did not taste right. We were not able to finish it and felt badly about it because we don't like wasting food.

My partner had the Gnocchi and he said it was average and my Spaghetti with clams was more Spaghetti if anything and barely had any clams. The clams were extremely small and half the shells were empty. It was also flavourless.

Upon the bill was a high cover charge and they expected a tip and requested for one which I did not provide. They were the only restaurant that requested a tip in all the places I've eaten while in Italy. The man looked displeased and unhappy when I only paid the high bill which was not worth it.

Would not recommend this place at all. Beware of extra charges on the bill. My bill came up to 90 euros...

Came across this restaurant on a cute side street and it looked really nice. However, the risotto di frutti di mare arrived smelling horrible like bad fish. I tried a few small bites and all of them tasted like seafood gone bad. Later in the night, I got sick to my stomach. The other two also had disappointing although more just mediocre (like the “salad” that was genuinely just a plate of lettuce with not a single other vegetable.) at the end of the meal, the server held out the credit card terminal for a mandatory tip which made me feel like they take advantage of American tourists (since he based it on American tipping percentages instead of the usual Italian tipping culture.) if it had been excellent service it wouldn’t have been an issue, but the first server was nice but pushy, and the second guy was rude. But moreover, I didn’t complain about the food but it was horrible, surely the chef or server could have smelled that the seafood had gone bad! Overall - skip this place in favor of the myriad incredible food options in Rome, it’s the worst meal I’ve had over several trips to...

“A True Taste of Italy – Freshness in Every Bite” This pizza is a perfect example of how simplicity and quality come together in Italian cuisine. The crust is thin yet sturdy, baked to a light crisp with just the right hint of char from the oven. The tomato sauce is vibrant and tangy, balancing natural sweetness with a touch of acidity that speaks to the freshness of the ingredients. The mozzarella is creamy and delicate, melting beautifully into the base without overpowering the flavors. What makes this pizza stand out is the balance—nothing feels heavy or excessive. Each topping tastes thoughtfully chosen and full of character, from the fragrant basil leaves to the drizzle of golden olive oil. It’s fresh, authentic, and crafted with care, offering a slice of Italy in its purest form. A refined, memorable pizza that proves less is truly more.

We went here for lunch with hosts who recommended it after moving to Rome. It's a friendly local restaurant on a quiet street near the Jewish quarter in Rome. During a late lunch on a Saturday in September it was quiet. The staff were helpful and the meal came to 22 euros each for wine, main course and coffee. The gnocchi was very interesting - soft pasta cubes which tasted great. Other dishes could be a little hit and miss. I also tried a 'caffe corretto' which is coffee with some alcohol added in to 'correct' it!

this is our first try of Rome restaurants. wewere the only group since we arrived after 8pm. Not sure what to order so we started with starter and added on. The staff was very patient and considering has given us lots of time and room for discussion. . Food ordered I recommend the home made ravioli with red shrimp tartare. Grilled veggies were not bad, meat balls were ok. Squid salad was very special , not bad at all. The appetizer bread / flat bread was really good.
