WOSRT MEAL I had in Rome!!! if possible, avoid it AT ALL COST! We came to the restaurant simply because it’s the closest one, and all the other top rated ones is a bit far and we were just too tired from our day. I wish we walked further and chose a different restaurant! Okay, so there are a few reasons why I won’t recommend this place. 1. The service is really bad, we got cold shouldered and the waiter didn’t even bother to bring the card machine to us. Yet they charged 2 euro service fee per person for basically just bring our food to the table. 2. They also don’t accept split bills because apparently they want to save some money on card transaction and won’t mind costing us trouble. 3. The food is really bad. The spaghetti basically only a salty taste, no rich flavor or anything, worst spaghetti I’ve had in my life. The seafood is not good either, doesn’t taste like fresh, clams has sand in it…. 4. it takes them 30mins to make the food when there are only three tables dinning in… Well since there food quality and service quality is horrible, I guess it make sense there are only 3 tables.

Edits: wow the response I received from the restaurant really opened my eyes. Instead of reflecting on their service, see it as a harsh reminder that they need to improve their service, they said my review is a fake review. I’m not sure what they are implying here? I’m writing fake review for their competitor? Or they don’t know how to response to my comments so come up with this strategy. The logic behind their response is kind of ridiculous, so them receiving five star reviews means the bad reviews they got are illegitimate? We decide to come to the restaurant because we also see the five star reviews but those reviews don’t reflect our experience, and this I write our own review that reflect our experience.

Also I didn’t say they only have three tables, I said there are only three tables of guest dinning when we were there.

Also, I don’t write any other reviews is because no other restaurant I visited annoyed me as much as they do, and the reason my account is relevant new is that I don’t want to use my daily account as that one has my real name on it, and I don’t want to get threatened. (And based on the response, the restaurant asked my to “use my word carefully” is kind of threatening, I think my concern is validated). Well since the owner want more proof, I put on a screenshot of my bank to prove that my experience is real. But perhaps they would come up with another way to discredit my...

I wanted to love this restaurant- off the street, romantic. We got there & the owner /owners were at one of the tables with 1 waiter for the guests. It wasn’t busy so he was very attentive & nice. When we asked about the music (Spanish beat music) we thought that odd for a romantic trattoria. The waiter agreed & tried to discuss with the owner. She was smug and blew him off. After a while it was clear this owner didn’t care much about the experience of her guests. She greeted no one and the waiter was clearly in conflict with her. I ordered a pasta special- the pasta was not house made & was store bought. Unlike all other experience in Rome. My husband ordered lobster pasta but there were bones riddled throughout making it hard to eat. But it was tasty. The restrooms were bizarre (decorations) to say the least with a big NO on the faucet. I guess indicating we had to use sink in the hall. My husband approached the owner again and asked why they were playing Mexican music. She turned her nose up to him and indicated it was Spanish not Mexican. So he shrugged and said but you’re an Italian restaurant. Believe me, we love Spanish music in a mexican/ Spanish setting. When we got up to leave, the owner scurried over to another guest table to complain about us. Incredibly unprofessional. Incredibly rude owner. A Lazy owner who doesn’t know what kind of restaurant she wants to be from her Asian, Spanish and Italia decorating to the food. Disappointing for our last night in Rome. This was recommended from a friend, however it’s my belief the owner has changed hands since...

Nice location and food was good. We got clams and mussels, caprese, and spaghetti with clams. Would have given a higher rating but service was poor. I couldn’t get waiter to understand I wanted an appetizer as a meal. Predominately a language barrier - but he didn’t try to understand - he was over confident and wouldn’t listen to me. So when they brought it out early I had to order a second small dish so my wife didn’t have to eat her meal alone. I also had to ask 3 times for a refill which was frustrating. Why aren’t waiters refilling quicker? Wine and beer is their biggest money maker…. These were minor - the more frustrating part was paying the bill. We had finished all the drinks and food and they took our plates and glasses. Literally nothing on the table but the cloth. I said we were finished. Said it two times. Why don’t you bring the bill when we say we are done and you take all our plates and drinks? I finally get the bill and the waiter says I must pay in cash outside or go inside and see the “boss” to pay with a card. Why? I stand inside another 10 minutes waiting for the boss - he never comes - and the waiter finally comes and has me pay - with the same hand-held machine every other restaurant has. Why couldn’t they bring it outside? Why does the “boss” inconvenience customers and keep them hostage to leave? I’m just stuck waiting - I almost just left….. Withholding these service issues - it was a pleasant evening. I just wish I had 20...

To start, the service here was great. When we came in, our server had set up a small table next to our table just so that I wouldn't have to out my backpack on the ground - very thoughtful. We were also hot after walking the streets and wanted something refreshing and he had recommended the aperol spritzes (which I remembered to be a delicacy all over Italy!) and they were very good - slightly a little more bitter than I was hoping for but did the trick to cool us down! We began with a Caprese Salad and it was very good, evenly oiled and the mozzarella was very fresh. For our mains we had Ravioli and the Fusilli di Capri Con Gamberetti Sicilia. The Sicilian dish was a knock out! I ordered it because I wanted a lighter pasta with an olive oil base like the scampi sauce and it was delicious! The pasta itself was perfectly al dente and had so much flavor, and the sauce was perfect. The ravioli was the same - al dente and freshly made. Definitely was a very good meal. I don't think anyone was allowed to go inside to eat so everyone sat inside. The downside to this is that because you're in-between buildings, there's really no breeze so take that into note if you're going and it's on the warmer side of things. Still very good restaurant, definitely recommend.
