Gran Caffè Rossetti — Restaurant in Rome

To be fair I can’t speak to the food because after standing at the pastries counter for 4 or 5 minutes and no one offering to assist us, I walked over to the hostess/cashier where the two young ladies were busy looking at there phones, after about a minute of waiting one of them looked up and when I ask how we were to order she politely said we could just sit down and a waiter would take our order. All the tables on the main floor were taken, one of the staff directed us upstairs, we sat at a table and a nice young man took our order. After 4 or 5 minutes a large group came upstairs and one of the waiters in a polite but hurried manor rushed over and told us he was sorry but this area was reserved, He did not offer to take us to a different table. Worst cafe/restaurant. Me and my wife went there to get something, I went to the bar to order for us and the server told us to just sit since someone will take our order. So we waited for couple of mins, then there's this black lady server who's giving receipts to others when she turned to us with her loud and rude voice saying "you can't sit there sir I'm closed". I told her what her coworker told us, but she didn't even acknowledge it and kept saying "I'm closed" and just lefg. So we left the café because of her rudeness, and went to ANTICO CAFÉ SAN PIETRO which is very good with polite server and good food.

Called in to ' Rosetti ' for a coffee / cola and a pastry ; simple. With the exception of coffee or cola, the waiter seemed utterly clueless as to the availability of any of the sweet foodstuffs and returned to my table three times , to announce that several of my choices were indeed not available. Eventually , my request for a plain doughnut was met by the service of a chocolate doughnut, which was dry , stale, old and inedible . Quite clearly I was being fobbed off with all that was left.
