These guys scammed us for 2 beers and it appears they are operating their business illegally, likely without an alcohol license. We asked if they had beer, they said yes and they brought us 2 Peroni's, although we couldn't find it on the menu. When it came time to pay, they brought a calculator out that said 47 euro, and no receipt which was odd.. our dishes were 12 and 13 euros and the math didn't add up. They also insisted we paid cash, to the point where he asked us to go to ATM even though they could take card. I asked him to break down the cost, and he said each beer was 11 euro. We told him that's ridiculous and asked to see it on the menu or receipt, he said they don't serve it, it's not on the menu and that's how much we owed, and wouldn't provide a receipt.
Very poorly run scammy business, with sub par Indian food. They won't last long treating people like this and serving below average food, but if I had to guess, they will probably get in trouble with the government for selling alcohol without an alcohol license before anything else and have to pay the 12,000 euro fine for doing so, which I'm sure would put them out of business.
Would stay away at all costs as they will scam you if they get the opportunity. Not...
Read moreAwful place to eat. Being near Vatican City, we thought this was going to be a okay place to grab a bite to eat before exploring. We were wrong.
Tables were sticky and place was dirty, staff extremely rude. We ordered food which took around 25 minutes to come out cold, my partner ordered a panini which was just a bread roll with some lettuce chucked in, we complained and the staff member (woman) argued with us and said that’s what we ordered when the picture is COMPLETELY different. The male staff member came over and eventually replaced it.. but then it came back out with just some ham thrown into the same roll!! My partner had given up and was going to eat it when I spotted a hair in the roll, we complained again and the female staff member came over holding the hair accusing us of putting it in the food being rude and obnoxious towards us all speaking Italian knowing we are tourists and don’t speak the language. We did nothing wrong and felt bullied the entire time. They also tried to charge us for drinks that we had before entering the place. Not sanitary, rude staff, terrible food. This is somewhere that you want to avoid when visiting Rome, not worth the hassle...
Read moreMy girlfriend knows I’m not the most picky eater. When I saw the menu online I was really excited to go and get some different kinds of food after traveling Europe for a month mostly eating pasta lol. I am generally very positive and will eat anything. We got mixed fried appetizers which were definitely frozen microwave food 2/10. The vegetable soup was oddly gelatinous and only potato and tomato not the veggies shown in picture 2/10. I got kebab sandwhich which was actually ok, 5/10. The bruschetta was hamburger bun toasted with sliced tomatoes lol. It didn’t taste terrible, but was nothing like a normal bruschetta, 4/10. One redeeming factor was he asked why we didn’t eat it all and she didn’t touch the soup. I told him it was not good and he didn’t charge for the soup. The guy was nice enough so I feel bad for posting this, but it was literally worse than it I microwaved food myself at home. Like the cheapest possible...
