We didn't want to eat here. But since the waiter who stopped us outside REALLY wanted us to, we did. We couldn't say no. We told him that we would only eat if there were vegan options, and lucky us - there were plenty! Walking towards our seats this waiter was very good at his job, being polite and service minded. When we've sat down for 5 minutes there had been 4 different waitresses with us talking about different things, but also at the same time having no idea that their colleagues all were coming back saying the same things to us as well (for example: are you ready to order? X2? ). When it was time to order I really wanted the vegan garlic penne and my partner a plate of spaghetti with tomatoes. Of course this could be fixed. But somehow it couldn't and all of the sudden all we had to chose from was a pizza or rice. Annoyed about this we ordered the only two options we had since we felt that we couldn't just leave. We didn't want anything else but the pushy waiter said that we should try the foccacia. We said no thank you, we don't eat that much. So after this no thank you we ended up with the pizza, rice and Focaccia. The man who I think was our main waiter finally heard me asking for something to drink after about 10 minutes. During the time we were waiting for our drinks a man came over and tried to give us presents. We told him to leave us alone. He stod there arguing with me now trying to get me to take some cash out so I could buy stuff from him. I continued to say no trying to get help from our waiter but the man made me go get cash. He then took me behind a car, yanked my money out of my hand and throwing plastic stuff (like bracelets) in my hands right next to the restaurant. I finally got back to my seat but so did the man. He was still trying to get more money from me whilst I was looking around getting eye contact with pretty much every waiter and waitress obviously showing I was in discomfort. One waitress smiled and pointed at our food coming our way and the disturbing man left. When the food finally arrived we panicked whilst watching the waiters finger hover around and above, way to close, just a couple of mm away from our beautiful, delicious Focaccia. Or at leats that's what he called it - the dry pizzabottom with about four grains of salt. The grilled vegetables that were to go with it were cold and didn't taste like anything, except the paprika that tasted like soap. After some bites we had to throw food away for the first time in our lives. When our pizza and rice finally was being served we were full from the starter that we didn't want so we couldn't eat our main course just like we knew. So we got our food to go. Paying over 60$ for walking home with a shitty bag of food that tasted just as bad as it looked didn't feel very good. I couldn't eat more that five bites of my food, my partners pizza was just as bad.
We missed the name of the restaurant which was a big miss. For us all of this is big ass no. Probably the most horrible food I've ever had and the experience at the restaurant was pretty much the same. I don't know what the body parts taste like though, maybe...

Our family of four had the pleasure of dining at Hespresso during our trip to Rome, and it was an experience to remember! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made us feel right at home. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring we felt comfortable throughout our meal.
We decided to try their famous Pinsa Romana, and it did not disappoint. The crispy yet airy crust, combined with fresh and flavorful toppings, made for the perfect dish to share among the family. Each bite was a true taste of Roman tradition, but with a modern twist that made it feel fresh and exciting.
To complement the meal, we ordered a bottle of Pinot Grigio, which was light and refreshing – the perfect match for the Pinsa. It was clear that the wine selection was carefully curated to enhance the dining experience.
Whether you're a local or a tourist, Hespresso is definitely worth a visit. It’s a wonderful spot to enjoy great food, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We left feeling full, happy, and already planning...
Read moreWe started with an amazing treatment, from the hostess, the food at the begging and even the service was great. The truffle pasta was amazing… However, after the dinner was served the waiter took more than 10 min to remove the empty dishes, then to ask for the check and the change the waiter took 20 minutes. After, I confront him if they took so much time, the waiter which I think was the captain was super rude and even lied to the director saying it had just been a few minutes. The director of the place tried to listen to us, and offered some courtesy drinks. Which we did not wanted, but just an apology and the waiter to change his attitude. However, the waiter at all times was trying to justify his lack of service and apologized only after we were very upset… truly sad because the food and the people that welcomed us was great… I’m just writing the review because is a lack of respect for the clients to be waiting for the waiter to do his job … and I hope the service gets better… because the food was great… and to avoid anyone else to have the same bad...
