Ate there twice. Lunch was delightful. Very friendly waiters, fantastic foid. Had the pumpkin risotto and a fettuccini dish. Had a coupon from hotel get a free drink. We asked if it could be used for a non alcoholic drink, and they had no problem with that. The bread was do flavorful. All in all a eonderwon experience. Do eonderful that we decided to go again for dinner the next dsy. While lunch would have received 5 stars, dinner would have received zero. Waiter put us at an outdoor table but did not tell us untill the bill csme that there is an extra charge to sit outside. He literally slammed everything on to our table....menu , water, dishes, etc. Then he would not take our order. He waited on others who came after us.....but marched past us with no comment. Another waiter asked if we had given our order and when we said no. He got our waiter to come. We presentec the drink coupon. The waiter said it was impossible to use. He brought us water without asking....and of course we were charged for it. We ordered gnocchi with shrimp and it came with exactly one small shrimp. One. The dish wad cold and bland. To be fair, we ordered tiramisu and it was perfect. Than the second waiter came to if we wanted anything else. The first waiter did not come back. We asked for the bill. It did not come. We asked again. Finally the first waiter brought the bill...threw it at us. We asked about the extra charges on the bill....the waiter began to argue with us. We finally just paid and got out....
Read moreWe had quite the experience here. We had just gotten in from the coast and looked up places near our hotel and this place came up with good reviews. We were treated with champagne and it seemed like it would be lovely. It was not.
We ordered a bottle of wine and an appetizer at the same time. We ordered a Merlot that was from the Lazio region, as that is what we were looking for because we wanted wine from each region we were in. The waiter came back with a random merlot that from 2002, convinced us this was what we should get, opened it and he decided it wasn’t good. He then came back with a bottle of Merlot that we thought was what we originally ordered and only later we realized it was a completely different bottle and region than what we ordered. We also ordered water that was never brought to us until we reminded them 20 mins later.
We noticed as we were sitting that everyone around us was being brought bread, but we were not. And that our appetizer was taking a long time. Next thing we knew, our main entrees were here. I reminded him about the appetizer we ordered and he blamed it on the computer, yet asked what we ordered again. He offered us complimentary limoncello for the mistake.
When we were ready to pay, we noticed everyone around us was also receiving limoncello when they paid. And he offered it to us again! But we never received it! Because we did not leave a tip for the poor service we received. Good food, but not worth the poor...
