We paid for tap water, (free!) bread!!! NOT RECOMMENDED!
First, let me tell the good parts ::: Food: we ordered the foods (images attached), maybe the sea food didn’t go with our tastebud maybe, so we can't recommend that. Pasta and pizza were good!
Interior: I believe the owner is a lifelong Roma fan, saw a lot of old photos, Jersey of Totti, Rossi, Dybala, and lots of old photographs. Also, I saw some vintage collections.
I saw most of the people are local during our visit. I think it's popular with locals!
Our bad experiences ::: Food serving time: It's not written anywhere that we'll get food promptly, then again, we had to wait for more than 35-40 minutes for the food. I think the owner, his son, handles the entire business alone. It felt to me that they're short on staff. We had a tiring day, all of us were too much hungry, hence the wait ti.e felt like an eternity.
Washroom:: the lock in the washroom is broken. Be aware of that in case you’ve to use it. (You should find a recent review saying this also)
Bill::: I can endure a bad food (considering it doesn't go with my tastebud or luck), but I can't endure a scam!!! Our total bill was around 76, while as per our calculation, it should be around 64!!!
Then we went for clarification and found Bill for tap water(!) bill for the bread they gave after we took a seat! Neither we wanted them at first, nor they said that its not free, we'll have to pay for it!! service charge mistake in their calculation (!!!) which they adjusted instantly!!
Just 15meter from this restaurant, we had our lunch the other day, they gave us fried pizza and tiramisu at the beginning and didn’t charge (and those foods cost 10Euro min as per their chart). We also thought foods given as welcome gestures are free, I've travelled a lot of places, ate in a lot of places and this is the first time I'd to pay for a welcome bread(!)
Also, you'll always pay for an intact bottle of fresh water, but here we paid for a tap water served in old glass bottles!
Let's ignore their human mistake of calculating the sum(!!!), the bill was given in a handwritten script.
Time::: Please be aware of their opening hour. I saw they told a lot of people that they're closed for now, and I will open again in the evening.
I think they don't speak English, you might have to use a translator to not get lost in the communication gap!
I should’ve read the previous reviews. A lot of things, I said here, you'll find them in the recent or negative reviews.
I'd request you to read the previous...
Read moreWorst meal we had all week in Rome, unfortunately it was our last too. We stumbled into this resteraunt after I had mistaken it for a similarly named (and higher rated) place across town. The warning signs were there when we walked in, dark dingy atmosphere, unattentive staff.. but we decided to sit down and see. The customers seemed predominantly italian which I took as a good sign.
One of the 3 severs was polite and friendly, but dissapeared halfway through our meal. The other two didn't even make eye contact and on more than one occasion seemed to plonk items down on table whilst simultaneously walking away. Our plates and glasses built up throughout several courses of the meal without being taken away and at the end we eventually got up to pay as we seemed to be entirely neglected - eventhough tables around us were being tended to. It felt like we were resented for being there, eventhough we were nothing but polite.
The food was edible but lacked any distinguishable taste, other than the overly oily/salty bruchetta. The presentation of the food was as haphazard as the service and we both felt bloated and uncomfortable after leaving.
Poor food. Poor service. Bad atmosphere. There's way too much competition in Rome to waste your time here and it's not cheap enough to compensate - plus the guy who priced up our meal seemed to make up the final bill in his head (something I've seen another reviewer mention) - the price seemed above what we had calculated but we were in too much of a hurry to leave to argue.. possibly something they...

I have lived in Italy for 2.5 years in the past and I visit Italy every year 3 times. This restaurant was my worst experience in Italy. The waiter, I assume the son of the owner, is very rude. He kept speaking Italian even though we ordered in English. We had to wait 50 mins for our pasta to arrive, yes 50 mins after giving the order for a simple pasta. In the meantime, when we tried to ask something, all he said was "arrivo" but nothing has arrived.
For the food, I ordered pasta carbonara and also pizza quattro staggioni to share with my girlfriend. Pasta carbonara was mediocre. However the sauce was very poor, almost no bacon and no flavor. Then after waiting for another 30 mins, we finally got the pizza. It was by far the worst pizza I have ever eaten in my life, not only in Italy. It was disgraceful. All the stuff was completely messed up, there was barely very little cheese on it. The taste was just terrible, I wouldn't even eat it as it was for free. We finished it but only because I hate to waste food.
At the end, we finished and wanted to pay. Then we had to wait another 7 mins to pay while standing. They added some stuff we didn't have but I didn't understand well as they spoke Italian with each other. We realized we paid EUR4.5 additional and I have no idea why....
