A Must-Visit for Vegan Pizza Lovers in Rome!
We cannot recommend Pizzeria La Boccaccia highly enough! During our trip to Rome, we found ourselves coming back here every single day—it’s that good! After trying several places in the city, we can confidently say this is the best vegan pizza in Rome.
The variety of vegan options is truly impressive, and each slice is packed with flavor, fresh ingredients, and the perfect crust. A special shout-out to the lovely lady working there Andrea —she was incredibly kind and helpful, always ready to recommend the best vegan choices. Her warm service made every visit even more enjoyable.
If you’re vegan (or even if you’re not), this place is an absolute gem. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or planning to savor several slices, La Boccaccia delivers quality and taste that will keep you coming back for more.

Read moreWe have had horrible luck finding good food in Rome and we are so happy on our last night we managed to get a few slices before they closed!
Definitely come on the earlier side because as they get close to closing time, they'll only have 1 topping out at a time, and everyone is hoarding their pizza at that point 😁 by the time we could order we could only get the ham and cheese one, and we were happy that another patron that came in after was willing to swap some of their slices so we got to try the Margherita too. Both were super yummy. Note we had just come from an incredibly unsatisfying 4 course dinner, so the fact that this was still tasty says a lot! We chose to eat some of the pizza there while it was fresh and took the rest to go. Highly recommend having it there.

I mention this for those with mobility issues. The relatively short 20-minute or so walk was well worth it. We waltzed right in and eventually chose four different kinds for eight total slices--all for $17, including one drink. We, fortunately, snagged two seats in the limited-seating but charming eating area and nibbled on Roman pizza for the next half an hour. From the time we sat down to the time we paid and then walked out the door, the line was consistently out the door. Most seemed to take the pizza with them, especially since seating was limited I suppose and maybe there was an extra charge for dine-in. Not sure; verify this if needed. By the way: Neopolitan vs. Roman? Roman hands down-- especially here during my seventh visit to the Eternal City...
