Had a dinner with my girlfriend there. The ambience is really cool but I was expecting to be in the painted room rather than the winter garden. When you search for the place you see 2 pics, one is an outside restaurant which is the actual one and another one for the painted room. In their website they mention to it is moved to the inside due to winter which is not clear. Regardless, the ambience is nice. The food was quite average. Definitely below our expectations and doesn't worth the price.
Buffalo, tomato salad: it was my favourite. Very tasty and fresh. Steak tartare: It was disappointing. You receive 3 items in your plate. Steak without mixed with anything. A spoon of mustard and some.lettuce. I can understand that there are multiple versions of steak tartare but this was quite basic and not tasty. I decided to.mix all the ingredients and my gf ate separately. Mine tasted like lettuce which doesn't fit the overall taste of steak tartare. My partner only eat steak and mustard which is again quite a basic thing for the price you pay.
Cacio a pepe: we couldn't eat the food because it was too salty. Our waiter talked with the chef and they said it was supposed to be this way. Again, I appreciate the pecorino to be salty but it is way too salty. I wouldn't recommend it if you don't eat your food very salty in general. We asked.it to be remade with less salt. Once it came back it was ok. Pasta cooked to perfect Al dente.
Amatriciana: Same story with other pasta..too salty initially and we sent it back. It was good once they remade it with less salt. My gf's favourite dish of the night.
Tiramisu: Quite tasty with a different touch.
Spritz: best one I had in my life. Really good.
Service: service was.good until we sent our pasta dishes back. Once we did that the main waiter that was serving our table got a bit mean. I don't want to say aggressive but he placed everything to the table without any care. Almost threw the plates. He put the wine bottle too hard that both of us needed to look up to see what's going on. Then another person started serving us. He was nice. But for this price and quality, it should be ok to have small requests. No need to...
Read moreI recently had a baffling experience at a local restaurant that left me utterly disappointed. Despite arriving at the establishment during regular lunch hours, I was met with an empty dining area and a shocking refusal to accommodate me, claiming that the restaurant was fully booked. To add insult to injury, after waiting for an hour at the adjacent restaurant, I discovered that the original place remained completely vacant.
One of the most perplexing aspects of this encounter was the restaurant's assertion that it was fully booked. Considering the time of day, 1:00 pm, it was highly unlikely that the entire place was reserved. The absence of any customers and the subsequent denial of service made for a frustrating and confusing experience. The lack of transparency in their communication raises concerns about their professionalism and integrity.
Moreover, the fact that the neighboring restaurant, where I waited in hopes of gaining a seat, was also vacant throughout the entire hour further deepened my disappointment. It became evident that the refusal to accommodate me was arbitrary and unwarranted, leading to wasted time and a sense of being deceived.
In terms of service, it is disheartening to encounter such a lack of consideration and respect for potential customers. Turning away a patron without a legitimate reason, especially when the restaurant was conspicuously empty, demonstrates a severe lack of hospitality and customer-oriented approach.
Based on this unfortunate experience, I cannot recommend this restaurant. The combination of an empty dining area, the unjustified refusal to accommodate me, and the subsequent discovery of the establishment's ongoing vacancy left me with a negative impression. When it comes to dining out, customers deserve honesty, respect, and a welcoming environment, all of which were lacking in this instance. Therefore, I regretfully rate this restaurant a one out of five stars, highlighting its profound shortcomings in customer service and...
Read moreWe originally booked for 8pm specifying that we would like to sit outside in the garden and that it is a birthday dinner. , At 7pm we called to inform the hostess that we would unfortunately not be able to make it at 8 pm but if they still have a table for 9:30 we would love to come. She told us it would not be a problem. We arrived at 9:20. Greeted by the same hostess she told us there are no tables outside and that we can take a seat inside (an empty, I live area with absolutely no one inside.)we asked what the issue was as I've specified in the phone that we would like a seat even if we arrive at 9:30 which she confirmed, she kept saying that that since we are "an hour and a half late" we have no table outside and will have to take what is given to us. We were not late, we rescheduled and received a confirmation. Without finishing the conversation the hostess dismisses us starting to serve the next two Italian guests in line, who had a similar problem, and when they expressed their discontent she points a finger at us saying "no they have a different problem, they are late, you will just have to wait a few minutes", she did the same with the next two guests, scolding us like some children. When she switched back to us we asked if we can sit inside while we await our table, she again, dismissed us rudely. I've never had an individual from a personnel of an establishment this caliber be this rude and unprofessional. Her tone was arrogant, dismissive and her attitude differed from client to client, i won't even begin to deduct the motives to that. The problem was however resolved thanks to Davide. A lovely manager Who was attentive, polite and a true professional. Considering what a horrible impression the hostess left, Davide truly saved our night! He, individually deserved 5...
