Nestled in the heart of Rome, Locanda dell'Angelo Ristorante Pizzeria Braceria offers an unforgettable dining experience that combines the rich culinary traditions of Italy with a dedication to quality that is evident in every dish. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of tasting their Boscaiola pizza, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.
The moment the pizza arrived at the table, I knew I was in for a treat. The crust was perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining tender and airy on the inside—a true testament to the restaurant's commitment to crafting their dough with care. But the star of the show was undoubtedly the topping. The Boscaiola pizza, a rustic masterpiece, was generously adorned with an array of ingredients that were as fresh as they were flavorful. The rich, earthy mushrooms, savory Italian sausage, and a hint of garlic were all beautifully balanced by the creamy, slightly tangy mozzarella. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors that highlighted the restaurant's focus on using only the highest quality ingredients.
What truly sets Locanda dell'Angelo Ristorante Pizzeria apart is their unwavering dedication to sourcing the best local produce, meats, and cheeses. The pride they take in their ingredients is palpable, and it shines through in the taste of their food. Whether you're a local or just passing through Rome, this restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the art of pizza making and the importance of quality ingredients. I'll certainly be returning for another slice of their exceptional...
Read moreWe went here based on Google reviews - 4.6 stars with hundreds of reviews. Guess what? They are fake! The service does not exist. The servers are running around like crazy, buy not doing any actual work. The one server that seemed to know a bit kept calling another one "super mario" for when the super mario made mistakes. The service is ridiculously slow. You would need to ask the server to bring you a refill or anything while the server is walking by. They dont come ask for how thing are at your table, ever. They kept messing up my drinks. There are garbage bins right next to the outside tables. The garbage truck showed up and on top the above issues we had a very loud and smelly experience with garbage bins for 5-7 mins. The done drink glasses were sitting at the table for a while, I ended up with 5 empty glasses from drinks on the table while the servers were standing by chitchatting. The servers were very loud shouting to walking by people to get the people in the doors. This is a very unprofessional and very disturbing and unpleasant experience. The bathrooms are 1 for a man, another 1 for a woman, very small, dirty, no running toilet flush in the girls bathroom...
Read moreWe went to Locando dell’Angelo based on the good reviews (4.6 stars as of this writing). The restaurant was empty, which should have been a clue. We were seated outside and the “waiter” handed us menus, then disappeared down the street. He walked up and down the street a few times, yelling and gesturing about something. A woman, who appeared to be the owner of the establishment, also milled about outside the front of the restaurant, alternating between looking at her phone and commiserating with the woeful waiter. My husband had to interrupt their conversation to order drinks and food. We ordered a calzone and pasta de Pepe. Both were just okay. No bread was offered. Neither the waiter nor the owner bothered to ask us about anything. Meanwhile, another group of three patrons arrived and received the same treatment. They sat for about 10 minutes while waiter stood in the doorway of the restaurant, as if looking for a fight. Incredibly, the woman just sat there like a lump, not bothering to assist or lift a finger to make the patrons’ experience enjoyable. It was almost comical in the absurdity of it all. We regret the time and...
