It's a shame Google does not have an option for 0 or less stars. If you can look aside the fact that this is the ultimate tourist trap with highway robbery prices that match neither the location nor the quality of the food and beverages, hands down the staff and owners of this establishment can give a masterclass in atrocious customer service. This is the sort of business that is not interested in repeat business and lives on one-timers.
I was there a few weeks ago with my wife and four daughters for breakfast. We spent almost 40 Euros on coffees and panini, which in Italy is unheard of unless you are in deep historic center of the really big cities. When my youngest daughter went in to ask for a glass of water, the owner gruffly told her she can go and drink from the bathroom or buy a plastic bottle. When she came back confused, to relay what had happened and averse to drinking from the sink in the toilet, my wife and I were certain there was a misunderstanding. I mean, how? But it wasn't. I asked the owner if my daughter had heard correctly. The owner said this is a business, not a charity. Virtually, every single bar in Italy will serve you a glass of water and allow you to use the restroom even if you are not a client, let alone if you are one who just paid a lot of money. This is what makes Italy the wonderful place that it is. It has a heart. We complained (politely I promise) and left, but assuming we don't speak Italian (we do), we could hear her muttering under hear breath about "#%&ing foreigners". At which point we confronted her in Italian, and she completely lost it. Absolutely shameful. There are plenty of other options in the neighborhood, spare yourselves the mediocrity of the beverages and food, and the potential outrage and tirades of the owner if you happen...
Read moreUnlike one star reviews posting about price we found the coffee a good value. Cappuccino was €2 (remember you are in a tourist neighborhood). A corner establishment, the place is clean and offers outdoor and air conditioned indoor seating. Bottles of vine varieties decorate all walls. Empty wine boxes serve as decor along the counter. Beer is in bottle form. There is also a tap dispensing three different beers. The staff was friendly and efficient. The bathroom was clean on our visit which started at about 11:15 am. Goyo GTO recommends and asks that you give this review a thumbs up. ...
Read moreThe place advertised happy hour from 6-9 but the sign said “drink buffet” we also then confirmed with the waiter that all drinks were included. We were then charged for every drink and the staff was relatively rude to us. One thing I will say in their defence is that the manager came over and somewhat sympathized with us and offered us a free drink after arguing for some time.
She also mentioned that this DOES happen so they are fully aware of the confusion of their sign but have failed to change the sign. This is a tourist trap to take advantage of people unwilling to argue, I would...
