Solid place, but limiting them to 4 stars for a few reasons: - Dishes that are not “dry” are too oily, though the major seasoning notes are hit. - The “spaghetti in brodo” dishes say the noodles are “hand made”. Maybe sometimes, but today that did not seem to be the case. - Photo of the pork with green peppers was misrepresentative, with the dish actually having celery, green peppers, etc., when it should have had more typical la jiao green peppers based on the photo. This could have been an ordering mistake on my part. - They only offer water by the bottle. No tap. I might get burned by some people for this, but I really don’t agree with this method by restaurants. It’s very accepted in Europe from my experience, but it should really be reconsidered. Here’s why: - In this case, Romans have been drinking from roman water fountains, around 200 of them city wide for hundreds, if not, thousands of years. If that’s ok, then any place’s tap water should be an option by choice of the customer. If you don’t want it, then fine. - Water should not carry a cost in general. If you’re eating, you should have the right to water without cost. If you’re drinking alcohol, you should have the right to irrigate your liver. Lol. - The environment: it’s really simple. Water bottles, whether glass, plastic or even Tetra Pak, is just another unnecessary container that could be reduced, because they’re hardly ever properly reused or recycled. Reduce, please. So, when a restaurant offers the choice of tap water, then it’s up to the customer to decide if it’s “dirty” (which someone will want to say to me), and more importantly, the restaurant cares for the environment. Most people do not know that bottled water is typically less regulated than municipal water supplies. Anyway, apart from these points above, they’re a good little shop. I’d recommend trying their dry dishes. Dry pot, dry stir fry, etc. Those dishes seem great. I didn’t try them, so I’ll only say they looked good and you should go here and try them for yourself. With a few small improvements, this shop can really set itself apart from some of the other Sichuan shops in Rome. Enjoy!

I'll start by saying I'm Southeast Asian. This means I grew up eating what the western world considers as the best food in the world. This also means I'm used to eating all sorts of Chinese food because you quite literally cannot escape Chinese food in Southeast Asia. With that said, I'll tell you that this place serves the best Chinese food in the European cities I've been to, and I've been to more or less 35 across 10 countries. You can say the spicy food is too spicy, but that's just how it's meant to be. Food was mostly great, except the portions for the side dishes felt too small. Now, the bad things include poor customer service/engagement. No, I don't care about the language barrier or the whole "it's what we do in China" or wherever they came from. When in Rome, do as the Romans do, but this restaurant felt like they'd rather just get us out of the place than talk to us. The atmosphere also felt wrong, like they were already closing despite having us (me and senior folks) at 7 pm. Restaurant quality isn't just about the tongue, but the rest of the senses. Good food can be found anywhere, but good service and atmosphere is why we pick you. Funny story: I wanted a non-alcohol version of a drink. She offered me something and when I I asked her what it tastes like (because I can't understand Italian), she said she doesn't know because she hasn't drank it before. That's the first time I've heard a server admit they don't eat or drink their own products. PS Judging from other reviews, it seems the problem this place has is really the staff, not the food. Unlike food, which is either always good or always bad, people are hit or miss.

I recently visited this restaurant, and I must say, I was quite disappointed with the dining experience. The restaurant seems to have a style-over-substance approach, using the least amount of ingredients in the largest bowls, then serving up the smallest portions. What was particularly disappointing was their "sour and spicy fish" dish, which had very little fish in it. After a few bites, it was all bean sprouts. I understand that bean sprouts are a cheap ingredient, but for the price, the portion of this dish felt unjustifiable. Even worse, when I brought this issue up with the owner, they argued with me, claiming that this portion size was what customers should expect. This attitude left me feeling very let down. As a restaurant in the hospitality industry, I believe they should have a better sense of service and be open to feedback for improvement. Overall, this dining experience was memorable, but unfortunately, for the wrong reasons due to the restaurant's disappointing performance.

This place was an absolute joke. I don’t understand these “good” reviews. They must be fake. As soon as we got to this restaurant we should’ve left by the way we were greeted by the worker. We asked if we could have inside seating because it was chilly outside, and the guy said “we’ll see”. After waiting we were seating downstairs inside. We ordered our food, got our drinks and appetizers came out first. Things were going fine until we started to get our entree portion. As a group of 5 we ordered things to share: 2 appetizers, 3 meats (chicken, beef, etc) and then 1 noodle and 1 rice. The waitress brought out 1 entree (chicken dish). As a group of 5 we started to share the fish on our plates. We waited a bit for the rest of the entrees to come out. Especially the rice and noodles so we could eat them with our chicken dish. A couple min go by, then 10 min, 20 min goes by. Our waitress literally disappeared. Our chicken dish got ice cold and we didn’t get anything else served. My husband walked upstairs to tell the guy worker about how we only got 1 entree served to us and that it’s cold now and we wanted to eat that dish with the rest of our entrees and rice/noodles. Keep in mind still we’re a family of FIVE so only getting 1 dish served with a large separation between the rest of the food is ridiculous . We only had a few pieces of chicken each on our plates waiting for the rest. But it got cold. So anyways the guy worker told my husband to go back downstairs and that the rest of the food was coming. And that he can warm up our chicken in the microwave? Yuck. He goes back downstairs and the rest of our food still wasn’t there. At that point our appetite went away. We still didn’t see our waitress but saw a different one after a couple min. I think it might’ve been a food runner because she brought our 2 more of our entrees. Just the rice and noodles. We still had beef and another dish coming out. She sat down our noodles and rice and kid you not, those food items were COLD too. How can that be? We started to eat a little bit before realizing it was cold and we flagged that same food runner down and told her we needed all of that food to be remade and wanted it HOT. She looked at us puzzled and she asked what she wanted her to do so we politely asked her for it to be remade because we waited forever just for our food to be freezing cold. She takes those food plates away. Several mins passed again and we still haven’t seen our original waitress. The food runner later comes back about 5-10 min later and she brought out the SAME EXACT DISH THAT WE HAD. The one that was partially eaten and freezing cold! Didn’t even remake it for us. Or at least even heat it up? We were all very agitated at that point and decided to get our stuff ready to leave. We raised our voice to let the food runner know we were disappointed in the service and experience and she started to cuss at us. We started to head upstairs and talked amongst each other and made an agreement to pay for what we ate, such as the 2 appetizers and our drinks. Which is fair because why would we pay for ice cold food and plus we were missing 2 more of our entrees. We walked upstairs where the register was and saw the male worker at the front and our original server and food runner. We told them we’re only paying for what we ate/drank. They started fighting with us saying we owed $80+ dollars and that was with “a discount”. And that they want their money because “we ate everything” and that they’re a business. They started to become racist towards us and asking “where are you from? You American? This is ITALY.” Anyways they kept trying to make us pay the full amount which we were refusing, so we told them a price we will pay( which is exactly what we consumed) and they kept saying”no we need your money, we’re a business”. After all the racial slurs they were saying to us, yelling, etc we just threw down $50 euros because we had enough of them and walked out. On top of it all the food was honestly nasty. Don’t eat here if you’re American because you’ll be...

I wish I could give this No stars but it does not allow me to. We were looking for something different in Rome since we have been eating Italian every meal that past 2 weeks. This restaurant was close to our flat and rated well. The first red flag was when we arrived I asked the male manager if we could get a table for 5 people and do we need to put our name down since there was a waiting list. He told me no wait list I remember your face. I also told him if we could sit inside since it was a little chilly out. He replied with, “ we will see, it’s busy!!” Honestly after that I had bad vibes and should have just left. We were seated within 10 minutes downstairs in the lower level. At first the waitress took our order right away and got our drinks very quick. We also ordered some potstickers and spring rolls, which came out in a reasonable time. The appetizers were decent but nothing special. My group of 5 ended up ordering 3 entrees, 1 side of rice and 1 side of noodles for us all to share. The waitress brought out the first entree within 10 minutes. My group decided to wait for the other entrees with the rice and noodles. 10 minutes went by and still no other food came out. No one ever checked on us. After a couple more minutes we decided to eat our sweet and sour chicken. The chicken was honestly horrible. The sweet and sour sauce tasted like red spaghetti sauce and it was cold because we were waiting for the other food. After about 25 minutes, of not getting anymore food and no server checking on us I decided to go upstairs to inform the manager that our sweet and sour chicken was cold and we are still waiting for our other food. Once I told him, he replied with, “ food is coming now, we can warm up your chicken in the microwave for you no problem!! He was very rude and told me to go back downstairs to your table. I went back to the table since he had the noodle and fried rice in his hand. Mind you only the noodle and fried rice came out. We were still waiting on the other two entrees. My group decided to start eating the noodle and fried rice which was completely cold like it was sitting upstairs on the counter for 25 minutes. At this point everyone lost their appetite and we were just disgusted. We told the server everything is cold is there anyway we could get new ones. Mind you we were all sharing everything so our 5 plates all had the cold rice, noodles, and chicken still on it. It was not eaten since it was cold. The server said ok I’ll get warm ones. She took our half empty plates that the food was served on. I figured she would get us new ones. She ended up coming back to our table with the cold plates she just took. At this point we were disgusted so we decided to leave and tell the manager this was a horrible experience, we will pay for the drinks and appetizers. The manager than handed us the check, which had everything we ordered on there. We told him we shouldn’t be charged for these entrees since we didn’t even get two of them. He told us, “the food was coming, we are busy, we are a business, and you pay for everything.” After a few minutes of arguing and getting no where we decided to give 50 euros and a walk out. This was the worse experience with food I have ever...
