Great food for brilliant prices - We were walking by and spotted this little place. Read the reviews and they were good, so I checked the menu. Prices was incredible for the location. The pictures of the food on the website looked good so we said we would give it a go. They have a little dining area inside, just outside and the other side of the road. We sat at the other side of the road. It was actually quite nice. Plenty happening and people going by to look at 😜 I asked for a pizza that wasn't what I expected and the waiter was quick to advise which I loved. He recommend a solution which paid off perfectly. Self made calzone. It was to die for. One of the best I've had. Piping hot, plenty of filling without too much dough. Percent. 10 out of 10. My partner got the cannalonni ragu. The loss of a star for food was because this was amazing but it was cold. Not enough not to eat it but just was sitting out for a bit longer than it should have. Oh and I forgot, we tried there rice balls, stuffed with mozerella cheese. Yum. This food was incredible and for the location the prices are brilliant for the centre of Rome. All this plus a large beer and a coke was only 33 euro. Would 100 percent go back to try more of the food.

Stay away from this eating establishment. Staff members are rude and racist and liars. Lied about no having a table for us (me my wife and daughter), when there were a few open tables. Slammed the glass door in our face to not have to talk to us i guess. Immediately after someone else and their small group walked up and asked to sit at one of the empty tables and the lady whipped out a menu and handed it to them. The f was that? Then she reiterated in spanish that she didnt have any tables. Then another couple walked up and got a table inside. Heeellll naw. Now it became personal. Clearly this lady is racist and ignorant, not anything new but the sheer shamelessness of her behavior is what did it for me. Its not like we’re begging for free food. Our Money is money whether were mexican or white or black, and if you dont want to serve people because of what you think they look like dont be in this business. People of color and everyone in general please stay away from this place. There plenty of other places in this beautiful city of Rome that are welcoming and polite.

This is the kind of places I try to avoid during my travels and this place was another confirmation I should continue doing so. The place is located really close to a sight so its main goal are tourists. We looked up the rating on maps and decided to try our luck because the rating was 4,4/5, not bad, one of the best rating on the street. The service is good but the food… you can see it lacks soul and taste. Italian cuisine without a soul is just tasteless pet food. But let’s speak specifically. You can see on the picture that the tomatoes are green and so they were tasteless, lasagna and other pasta with meat had the very same sauce, nothing like ala bolognese, but then I found that it was burnt? or undone on the bottom? This dark part was inchewable. Overall the food gives you feeling of fullness, but it’s just pet food, without any wow effect, without any pleasure. I was sad I spent my money at this place. The prices are about the same as anywhere else in the city. So thank you for at least not overpricing your view on Italian cuisine.

My husband and I stopped here on our way back from the Vatican. The restaurants closer to the river have terrible reviews but this one had good reviews so we thought we would give it a try.

We were seated outside.

My husband ordered pizza and I ordered pasta. Not a complicated order.

My pasta came within five minutes, along with our drinks. I waited over ten minutes for my husband’s pizza to arrive, but my pasta was getting cold so I had to begin to eat my food.

Over half an hour after ordering, my husband’s pizza still hadn’t arrived. Tables next to us who arrived after us were being served pizza and other mains. We tried and failed to flag down a waiter.

A few minutes later the owner/manager came over to clear my plates. I asked for the bill. He clearly saw my husband hadn’t had any food but it didn’t seem to bother him. He told me to follow him to pay. I followed him into the restaurant and then he began seating new customers…..? He saw me standing there and told me to go to the back to pay. The cashier had no idea where I had been sitting or what i had ordered.

Eventually he found our table after the waiter who served us came over and showed him.

I said I would not be paying for the pizza as we had never received it - this was now at least 35 minutes after we had ordered. The waiter proceeded to blame ME, asking why I hadn’t asked where the food was. Me?! I don’t work in your restaurant, I’m a paying customer!

He said the pizza order had been sent to the kitchen at 1350 (it was now 1420) and was ā€œnearly readyā€. I said we don’t want the pizza, we just want to leave.

It takes five minutes to cook a pizza, they clearly just forgot to put the order through, and that’s ok - just apologise, don’t blame the customer for YOUR mistake!

The pasta I had was fine but the rude service was so unacceptable i cannot recommend this place.

Walk a little further to piazza Navona where there are lots of restaurants with friendly staff...

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at this restaurant not once, but three times in just two days during our stay in Rome—and the reason? Amri. From the moment we walked in, he treated my mother like royalty, making us both feel incredibly welcome and special. His warmth, hard work, and friendly demeanor truly set the tone for each meal, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience every single time.

Amri's exceptional service and dedication were truly remarkable. He consistently made sure that we were comfortable, happy, and satisfied with everything. It wasn’t just about serving food—it was about making us feel at home in a city that was new to us. His personal touch made this restaurant stand out from the rest, and it’s because of him that we returned multiple times. It’s rare to find someone who not only excels at their job but also takes such pride in making guests feel appreciated.

Now, let’s talk about the food—it was absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of flavor and prepared with care. Whether it was the pasta, pizza, or dessert, everything was top-notch. The quality of the ingredients was clear, and the kitchen staff clearly puts heart and soul into their dishes.

The entire staff, not just Amri, deserves credit for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. But Amri’s extraordinary service made our time in Rome even more special. If you're looking for amazing food paired with service that will leave you smiling long after you leave, this is the place to go. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, and especially about Amri, who made our trip unforgettable.

Thank you, Amri, and the entire team for making our time in Rome truly special! We'll definitely be back on our next visit...
