My husband and I stopped here on our way back from the Vatican. The restaurants closer to the river have terrible reviews but this one had good reviews so we thought we would give it a try.
We were seated outside.
My husband ordered pizza and I ordered pasta. Not a complicated order.
My pasta came within five minutes, along with our drinks. I waited over ten minutes for my husbandās pizza to arrive, but my pasta was getting cold so I had to begin to eat my food.
Over half an hour after ordering, my husbandās pizza still hadnāt arrived. Tables next to us who arrived after us were being served pizza and other mains. We tried and failed to flag down a waiter.
A few minutes later the owner/manager came over to clear my plates. I asked for the bill. He clearly saw my husband hadnāt had any food but it didnāt seem to bother him. He told me to follow him to pay. I followed him into the restaurant and then he began seating new customersā¦..? He saw me standing there and told me to go to the back to pay. The cashier had no idea where I had been sitting or what i had ordered.
Eventually he found our table after the waiter who served us came over and showed him.
I said I would not be paying for the pizza as we had never received it - this was now at least 35 minutes after we had ordered. The waiter proceeded to blame ME, asking why I hadnāt asked where the food was. Me?! I donāt work in your restaurant, Iām a paying customer!
He said the pizza order had been sent to the kitchen at 1350 (it was now 1420) and was ānearly readyā. I said we donāt want the pizza, we just want to leave.
It takes five minutes to cook a pizza, they clearly just forgot to put the order through, and thatās ok - just apologise, donāt blame the customer for YOUR mistake!
The pasta I had was fine but the rude service was so unacceptable i cannot recommend this place.
Walk a little further to piazza Navona where there are lots of restaurants with friendly staff...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe had the absolute pleasure of dining at this restaurant not once, but three times in just two days during our stay in Romeāand the reason? Amri. From the moment we walked in, he treated my mother like royalty, making us both feel incredibly welcome and special. His warmth, hard work, and friendly demeanor truly set the tone for each meal, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience every single time.
Amri's exceptional service and dedication were truly remarkable. He consistently made sure that we were comfortable, happy, and satisfied with everything. It wasnāt just about serving foodāit was about making us feel at home in a city that was new to us. His personal touch made this restaurant stand out from the rest, and itās because of him that we returned multiple times. Itās rare to find someone who not only excels at their job but also takes such pride in making guests feel appreciated.
Now, letās talk about the foodāit was absolutely delicious! Every dish was full of flavor and prepared with care. Whether it was the pasta, pizza, or dessert, everything was top-notch. The quality of the ingredients was clear, and the kitchen staff clearly puts heart and soul into their dishes.
The entire staff, not just Amri, deserves credit for creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. But Amriās extraordinary service made our time in Rome even more special. If you're looking for amazing food paired with service that will leave you smiling long after you leave, this is the place to go. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant, and especially about Amri, who made our trip unforgettable.
Thank you, Amri, and the entire team for making our time in Rome truly special! We'll definitely be back on our next visit...

We were walking by and spotted this little place. Read the reviews and they were good, so I checked the menu. Prices was incredible for the location. The pictures of the food on the website looked good so we said we would give it a go. They have a little dining area inside, just outside and the other side of the road. We sat at the other side of the road. It was actually quite nice. Plenty happening and people going by to look at š
I asked for a pizza that wasn't what I expected and the waiter was quick to advise which I loved. He recommend a solution which paid off perfectly. Self made calzone. It was to die for. One of the best I've had. Piping hot, plenty of filling without too much dough. Percent. 10 out of 10. My partner got the cannalonni ragu. The loss of a star for food was because this was amazing but it was cold. Not enough not to eat it but just was sitting out for a bit longer than it should have.
Oh and I forgot, we tried there rice balls, stuffed with mozerella cheese. Yum. This food was incredible and for the location the prices are brilliant for the centre of Rome. All this plus a large beer and a coke was only 33 euro. Would 100 percent go back to try more...
