Old Station — Restaurant in Rome

Terrible espresso. I do not know if the previous reviewers have any knowledge ir standards on the quality of an espresso in general to be giving high scores, but the espresso here was TERRIBLE.

Prices are expensive for what you get, we ordered 2 espressi and 2 small pastries which came to a total of 12€.

Going to the toilet is an adventure itself, and not a good one at all. There's only one toilet for men and women, it is in a dimly lit basement full of old furniture and equipment, which might appear quite spooky to some people, and to top it all of, it is disguistingly unhygienic and not aspirated.

Considero a nessuno di entrare in quel locale,se potevo lasciavo-0 stelle,chiedo 2 gelati in coperta e riferisco di non sedermi,poiché lo avrei portato via,siccome mio fratello ci aspettava al tavolo,pensavo di mangiarlo sedendoci ugualmente per 5 minuti,andandocene ovviamente subito,ma neppure passati 2 minuti il titolare o chi sia,si affaccia dalla porta del bar e ci dice che non possiamo stare seduti al tavolo,perché avevamo riferito che non lo mangiavamo al tavolo,riferendoci che li servivano i posti a sedere per eventuali nuovi clienti,da tener presente che tutti i tavoli erano vuoti alle 17.00 inoltre riferivo che in 2 minuti ci alzavamo,nonostante mio fratello stava bevendo una birra media seduto al tavolo, ma vista la miseria da parte del titolare o chi fosse e suoi dipendenti che li riferivano questa cosa ridicola, ci siamo alzati tutti lasciando lì tutto sul tavolo,mai più e vergogna per questo povero bar,o cosa fosse.....inoltre scendendo nel sottoscala dove si trovava la Toilette,uscivano odori veramente da oltretomba.....Prima di mandare via così la gente,imparate forse a dirlo in maniera cortese o avere la pazienza almeno di dirci che si pagava pure il posto a sedere.....Mai più, sconsiglio questo posto poiché ne trovi in ogni angolo,concludo bel dire che pure il gelato,non era scarso.....ma proprio neppure da assaggiare,uno dei tanti milioni che si trovano a Roma x strada. Sconsigliato questo luogo,neppure...

The coffee is really good! The reason for the bad reviews is that it's 2-3x more expensive to have a drink at the table, with a view over the cathedral, than to have it at the bar, Italian style. We had a delicious cappuccino and caffe latte at the bar and paid like 3€ total (while at the table outside the same order would have been around 8-10€).
