What a wonderful experience! We researched restaurants in the Piazza Navona area prior to coming and had selected this one reading Reeves, etc. Then a friend of our said to DEFINITELY go to this place and have the PEAR PASTA, a dish that other reviewers also recommended. We had a reservation, then had to hope we could push back due to unplanned delayed during the day. Matilda, the hostess and head waiter accommodated us, ensured we had a great table, and actually took care of us herself .We did have the pear pasta and it was BEYOND DESCRIPTION and wonderful. We were going to share one, then decided to each order one and glad we did. Very unique and terrific! The veal dishes were also very good, as was the wine and desserts! So glad we decided to go here. Thank you Matilda for making us very comfortable and feeding us a terrific meal! Can't wait to get back to this...
Read moreThis place was not my favorite. Considering that there are so many restaurants I would not ever come back again. Some of the staff was nice but our waitress was very short and seemed as if she did not want to deal with us. I got the lasagna and honestly I’ve had much better in the city. I also ordered a second course as it’s traditional to do so and I decided to share it with another person. When they brought it out they placed a side plate in front of me that was visibly dirty! It had green, brown, and red residue on it. We also ordered the veal and it was very dry and seemed overcooked. And one last complaint was that the glasses smelled oddly like...
Read moreThe incessant shouting around by what must be the lady heading the wait staff ruined the atmosphere. Staff are unorganised, not assigned to specific tables, and seemingly too many so that they step on each there toes. The food was edible, but we’ve eaten better anywhere else in Rome. All the dishes we tried lacked salt except for the carbonara (the carciofi alla romana, the pesto pasta, even the focaccia). The pesto was freshly made, as advertised, but not particularly good. The server who took our order asked if we wanted their focaccia on the side with the artichoke, making it seem as if it came along with it. In the end, we were charged 5€ for some dry, tasteless focaccia. We were also charged for a more expensive pasta dish instead of the pesto one we had ordered, but only noticed after paying. Beware...
