This pizza was LIFE-CHANGING for a celiac, and an extra bonus and huge surprise was that almost all of the cheeses used are lactose free. I have not been able to eat real, fresh mozzarella for over a decade so this combination of cheese and the best gluten free pizza dough I’ve ever had, brought tears to my eyes (no joke). My husband who is not celiac said that the gluten free pizza was also one of the best pizzas he’s ever had (in general, not compared to other gluten free pizzas we’ve had). We were on our honeymoon and in Rome for 3 nights when we discovered this restaurant: we ended up canceling all of our other reservations after we ate here the first night so that we could return again and again. The attention to detail of having your gluten free food be perfectly celiac safe is incredible: separate kitchen, place mat that identifies that you are gluten free, silverware that’s separate and in paper packaging, even separate glass-wear to prevent cross contamination. Everything on the menu can be made gluten free. I can’t tell you how happy this experience this made me: as a foodie with celiac, it is very hard to experience food in this way: I highly recommend. A special shout out to our server, Archie. He was incredible, gave the best recommendations such as the Pizza Pantheon (we ordered this every single night in addition to other pizzas and pastas), and the creamy truffle bruschetta. I’m still dreaming about these meals and plan to return to Rome for another life changing experience. A kiss and a hug to the chef and the staff, and the owner who created these options for celiacs to eat a safe but incredible meal. Oh and an extra extra bonus is the ice cream shop next door (same owner) that is 100% gluten free. They also have a dairy free chocolate gelato option which was AMAZING… and on a gluten free waffle cone,...

My husband and I were recently in Rome for one week and we ate here on four occasions, it was THAT good.
My husband is coeliac and so MUST eat gluten free food and Pizza in Trevi are VERY good with this. They gave him a different coloured glass, plate and placemat on each visit so it was easily visible he had to have gluten free food. He was also given eating utensils that were in a sealed separate bag from the ones normally left on the table to set each place to avoid cross contamination. They are Italian Coeliac Association accredited and it shows.
My husband had different types of Pizza on all four occasions and I tried a small piece of each one and they were amazing. The GF dough they use is delicious and not a chore to eat like some of the cardboard offerings he has had in the past, hence our return on so many occasions. Also, my husband gets very ill very quickly if he does accidentally eat gluten and this never happened whilst eating at Pizza in Trevi.
I had Pizza on two visits but Carbonara and Fettuccine with meatballs on the other two visits. Every one of our visits was fantastic, we never booked a table (they could always fit us in but I would recommend booking if you know your schedule better than we did) and the greetings we were offered by Mario, Lorenzo and Archie were as if we were family!!! Every time we visited Lorenzo was heard to say “table for my gluten free friend”. Archie was very kind to us on every visit and let me have my first taste of Limoncello. Thank you all very much. We will be back when...

If you're searching for the best gluten-free pizza in Rome, look no further than Pizza in Trevi, just steps away from the iconic Fontana di Trevi. As a family with a celiac member, finding a place where we felt truly safe and completely satisfied was priceless — and this spot exceeded all expectations.
The owner is celiac himself, so every detail here is built on real understanding and years of dedication. In fact, they spent over 10 years perfecting their gluten-free dough — and wow, does it show. The crust is light, crisp on the outside, and full of flavor. You wouldn’t know it’s gluten-free unless someone told you — it’s that good.
We ended up visiting four times in just four days, both for lunch and dinner. Each time we tried something new: from their classic Margherita to rich, creative toppings, and everything was fantastic. Not only is the pizza top-notch, but all their pasta is also homemade and 100% gluten-free. Safe, fresh, and deeply satisfying.
Don’t miss their ice cream shop right next door — it’s the perfect finish to your meal. They offer gluten-free cones (yes, really!) and a variety of delicious flavors. The hazelnut and pistachio were our favorites — creamy, rich, and authentically Italian.
In short: whether you're celiac or just looking for top-quality Italian food, Pizza in Trevi is a must. Warm staff, unbeatable location, and food that makes you come back again and again. We did — and we can't...
