This is going to be long. Arrived 6pm taxi dropped off at the wrong place. One hour to find this place, not easy. Nothing explained about the property upon checkin, escorted to my room. Very underwhelming experience. Got the loft classic double, ground floor just past front reception. Room smells stale and stuffy and very dimly lit even with all the lights on. Double glazed door / window with lane running past very busy with traffic, so can't leave open to let air in plus it smells like stale urine. Suppose to have block out curtains, they don't cover the whole window and allowed light to stream in from floodlights on all night from the building opposite my bedroom window /door. Very uncomfortable nights sleep. Reluctantly had to leave aircon on to circulate some air. Aircon vent facing the bed is heavely covered in dust and looks like mould. looks like mould spots ln corner of shower recess also hairs stuck to wall in bathroom by the sink. Kitchenette. Light in range hood above not working they said it was working yesterday, had to use torch light from my phone. Coffee machine leaked everywhere, just wanted hot water to make a cup of tea with my own tea bags as none supplied, only 4 coffee pods. Got them to remove the machine after they looked at it, and it was still leaking, no replacement and no kettle. So I used a large pot that you would use to boil water to make pasta for my two cups of tea. Only to find some scum or cloudy residue in the bottom of pot in the morning. It was obviously not clean to start with. Which brings me to the fridge, freezer all iced up, needs to be defrosted, with ice dropping into the fridge below. Sofa bed in front of TV is vinyl and ripped in both corners. Wakey Wakey rise and shine, you had better be ready to not sleep in because directly opposite my door is the breakfast room. I think it was about 5.30am to 6am when they started preparing the dining room with clattering and clunking for the prep, and then the guests starting arriving. 7.30am I'd had enough, went to reception and asked for another room I DO NOT associate this premises with Luxury in any way shape all form. Update.. Went for breakfast at a cafe nearby and a Long walk, in the rain unfortunately. Returned at about midday and the guy at reception had arranged another room (thank god) upstairs same side over the lane with shutters over the window which should fix the light from outside problem. Room is smaller but fine for me. I'm very grateful they were able to change the room for me as there is no way I would have stayed another night. This property was booked for me by the travel agent back home. I shall be talking to them when I get home. Just because I was given an other room it still diserves a review. Unfortunately first impressions count and obviously I could not recommend this property to anyone that I know. I do not believe that you should get a second chance in this type of service industry they should strive to get it right the first time as most places have that I've been to on my journey through Europe over the last month that make this place look like a backpackers hostel. I make no apologies for making this review.

The Trevi Palace is a perfectly located accommodation. We had a junior suite sleeping four. We were located on the main street side. The outlook from the windows was fascinating watching people going by. They are double glazed and when you open the window, you can hear the buzz of noise from the street below. During the night the bin-men come along and also people emptying their vast aray of bottles from the local pubs and restaurants so we do recommend keeping your windows shut during the night. The room had a king size bed, a double bed settee and we had a loft area with a double bed in too. The room was very clean and cleaners came in daily. The air-conditioning worked once we had worked out which unit it was and perhaps a little explanation in the room itself would help with the use of this. Towels were changed daily. The bathroom was on one hand very modern and then there were just a couple of things that let it down. One was the towel rail that was flaking and one was the switch to the shower where the cover was missing and you had to pull a pin for the overhead shower. Breakfast was a typical continental breakfast however there were no allergens displayed on the hot food, anyone with dairy allergies like myself beware as the scrambled egg contains dairy. The staff on reception and around the hotel were excellent and when I emailed prior to my visit they were very responsive on emails taxi to the airport in a normal car for four people was €60 you are located ideally here being about 50 m from the Trevi fountain, about a 10 minute walk to the Spanish steps, about 20 minutes to the Colosseum, and about 30 to 40 minutes to the Vatican City. I really do recommend booking your entries in advance of arrival to give you more choice on whether you want a tour or to do a self guided visit but getting entry at short notice can be tricky and involve very long queues. A black Americano coffee can range from about €3 to 15 so you do need to be careful which places you choose to stop off at!! We found restaurants around the hotel very reasonable even given their location and there were plenty to choose from.

When first arriving on a 90 degree summer day with all of our luggage, we easily passed by the hotel three times with no indication of where it was located. The only sign is a small reflective one placed right next to the door and easily blocked when the street is full of foot traffic. Once we entered our room we were quickly disappointed and then shocked at the lack of cleanliness. Scuff marks on the walls and wood chipping from the armoire are one thing, but mold on the ceilings and in the shower, a broken light in the bathroom, dangerous broken window in the bathroom, rusted towel rack, less than stellar toilet and smelly fridge are another. We had another room assigned to other members of our party (The Loft) and while it was better than our room (Tintoretto 1) it also left more to be desired with the mold and the scent of garbage/sewage wafting in from outside. Due to our broken window, it was very easy to hear people outdoors at all hours of the night and our air conditioner sounded, at times, like an airplane ready to take off, also interfering with our sleep. The complimentary breakfast had not one notable item; all were undercooked or extremely dry and we threw out most if not everything we took. When it came time to check out, the front desk staff refused to call the transfer company they work with despite our transfer being 20 mins late and never showing up. We ended up Ubering and spending an additional $100 to leave. The only positives to staying at this hotel are that it is very centrally located with the Trevi Fountain steps away and the fact that there are books left in every room for your enjoyment. If I were you I would steer clear of this “luxury” inn because I assure you, nothing about it was luxury.

Buyer beware - I rarely write reviews but given my experience, I figured it was necessary. I made 2 reservations at the Trevi Palace Luxury Apartments about 4 months in advance of my stay for my family and myself. Over the course of the 4 months, the ratings of the hotel dropped - I read reviews of the hotel that said (potential) guests were informed that there are last minute emergencies and they could not accommodate guests, so would "upgrade" them to a hotel that is in a different location (owned by the same management btw). Given the reviews, I decided to re-confirm my reservations with the hotel, as I did not want to stay in a different hotel in a different location. I was re-assured that everything was fine. Less than 24 hours before check-in I receive the email saying there has been an "emergency" and they want to "upgrade" me to the other hotel (The K Boutique Hotel). I was in Florence on a tour when I got this email and of course, the next few hours were spent on my phone trying to figure out next steps thereby ruining my tour of Tuscany. The hotel management was totally non co-operative and basically said there are no other options. As a tourist, one has limited time and resources especially when one needs a place to stay in less than 24 hours. I decided to escalate to the website through which I made the reservations and ultimately they made a decision to let the hotel know that they will give me a full refund irrespective of the hotel's cancellation policy. They read the reviews of the hotel and clearly understood the situation. Being a Hilton Elite member, I was able to make last minute reservations at the Rome Cavalieri at a good rate and we really enjoyed our stay there. However, options were severely limited as it was peak season in Europe and everything was booked or quite expensive at the last minute. It did not even occur to the hotel management to offer the refund or compensation of any kind as most likely I imagine the other tourists just accept the last minute change given the limited options. Overall, given that they seem to have "emergencies" quite regularly as well as their attitude to customer service, I would recommend taking your...

TREVI PALACE RUINED MY ENGAGEMENT AND ANNIVERSARY NIGHT WITH NO REMORSE! DO NOT STAY HERE! WORST SERVICE EVER! DON'T BE FOOLED BY THE PHOTOS. THIS PLACE IS NOT A LUXURY HOTEL. IT'S NOT ANY NICER THAN A LA QUINTA INN.

I am extremely dissatisfied with my stay at Trevi Palace Luxury Inn on November the 30th. I booked the master suite for my anniversary and even verified via email with the hotel that my room had a jacuzzi. When we arrived we called for help to turn on the jacuzzi. The gentleman that came to our room had no idea how to make it warm. It never did get warm and the person at the front desk told us we were out of luck that it would not be working during our stay because the maintenance man was off for the weekend. It is beyond unimaginable to me that a hotel that claims to be a “Luxury” hotel would not have a 24 hour maintenance staff and that a “Luxury” hotel would not give a single care about the comfort and care given to customers staying in their MASTER SUITES!

This night was very special to me. It was my anniversary and the night that I planned to propose. I have a very romantic evening planned on the rooftop in the jacuzzi. The intent was to be nice and cozy and romantic in our room. Instead we spent all of our time outside of the room and I had to plan another day to propose. Trevi ruined not just my anniversary but my engagement too.

We got nearly no sleep that night because there was a buzzing sound in the bedroom. We didn’t even bother to contact the front desk about it because we had already been shown that Trevi Palace “Luxury” Inn didn’t care about us nor could they solve any minor issues.

We weren’t offered any sort of compensation or peace offerings to make up for the loss we suffered. Not even complimentary breakfast no fees waivered. Nothing. NOT EVEN AN APOLOGY! I sent them several messages that they never responded to.

I’ve never had such a terrible experience at a hotel. I’m extremely disappointed. They told me I could email management and then proceeded to give me a fake email address for management. This place sucks and it is not a luxury hotel. I've seen Motel 6s nicer...
