I choosed this restaurant based on reviews, so I expected something good. The service what I received, from beginning to the end was just disaster. I came to the restaurant and ask for table inside for one. There was only one couple in all restaurant!! The waitress ofered me table outside or table right next to the door. I explained that I don’t want to get cold, if I can choose a table inside. She agreed with annoyed face. This was the first alarm... I choosed “fresh pasta with clams” and water. The waitress went twice back to ask again what I ordered. When I get my food, I thought it’s a joke when I’ve seen the baby portion. Plain pasta swiming in oil and few mini clams around. I asked for some parmigiano because it didn’t have any taste. For €16.90 really dissapointing. The cherry on the cake was when I wanted to pay. She came with the machine but I say I would like to pay cash. She told me she can’t give me back because she doesn’t have. I didn’t want to give her tip, but I made it up to €21.00. She came again and said, if I have one euro because she doesn’t have coins. I didn’t have any coins with me. So she said but I can’t give you back, probably expecting that I’ll give her bigger tip to make it easier. I said that it’s not my problem that she doesn’t have money back and that I don’t have coins with me. I gave her already tip and she is asking for more with this excuse?! I couldn’t believe it. I left hungry and angry.. Really...
Read moreWhere to begin. As we sat down in a completely empty restaurant, we instantly knew we made a poor decision. While waiting for our food, an assortment of pizzas and ragù lasagna, we were constantly interrupted by the sound of a microwave, working endlessly to provide us with disappointing food. Once the food arrived, my plate (lasagna) was warm while the layers of ragù ranged from lukewarm to boiling hot. Imagine you could make a Ritz cracker 10 times the size and then drizzle some nonstick tomato sauce and rubbery cheese particles on it: that was the food we were served. Finally, once it was time to pay as we could not wait to leave, we were charged nearly 3 euros for some stale and rock hard bread slices that were not eaten. Take your...
Read moreUnfortunately we don’t have a picture of our marvelous dinner, but nevertheless delicious! I ordered Carbonara Pasta (which for my surprise, was the real recipe; after a life eating the commercial recipe version), and my husband ordered the Pasta al Pomodoro that made him regret that he didn’t married an Italian lady (there’s no way I can replicate that same flavor). As flattering as may sound it did was our best dinner on our honeymoon trip to Rome, the staff was very pleasant and the overall atmosphere of the restaurant was so cozy and welcoming beyond compare. mīlle viae dūcunt hominēs per saecula Rōmam (“a thousand roads lead men forever to Rome”) and I hope so repeat again our trip and the road to il Nipotino...
