Verbally abusive bar manager.

The initial impression was positive, service by floor staff was attentive. However, the experience took an unexpected turn we were charged more for a non-alcoholic drink than the alcoholic drink. When questioned, I was met with an unsettling reaction from the bar manager, Riccardo.

Riccardo's behavior was highly unprofessional and offensive. He not only raised his voice and used offensive language, but he also appeared to be deliberately trying to provoke a reaction with his smirking demeanor. What was even more concerning was the fact that he seemed to have been drinking behind the bar, blurring the lines between responsible management and personal indulgence.

Such behavior from a manager is not only disappointing but completely tarnishes the experience that the other staff members worked hard to create. Riccardo's conduct cast a shadow over the entire establishment. I hope others are not subjected to such unprofessionalism...

Prenoto per il 25/05 sera, per un compleanno. Era la serata di apertura della terrazza quindi una persona che lavora nell'ambiente si aspetterebbe massima preparazione e attesa di tantissime persona data la forte sponsorizzazione sui social media. Arriviamo all'hotel 5 stelle nel cuore di roma e ci accoglie alla reception (dell'hotel) una hostess estremamente sgarbata che ci dice che la terrazza è chiusa e che c'è un evento privato. Le rispondiamo che abbiamo una prenotazione e non sappiamo nulla dell'evento privato ma se occorre può visionare la chiamata, ci risponde così : ''POTETE DIRMI TUTTE LE CAVOLATE CHE VOLETE IO SO CHE C'è UN EVENTO PRIVATO''; per fortuna che lavora in un 5 stelle, e per fortuna che io ed i miei ospiti siamo persone estremamente comprensive e cordiali altrimenti i toni non sarebbero rimasti così pacati. Ci accompagna controvoglia in terrazza dove.. udite udite? Non vi era alcun evento privato.

Passiamo all'esperienza in terrazza. La ragazza all'accoglienza, la stessa che risponde al telefono, molto cordiale capisce che è un compleanno e ci fa scegliere la zona a noi più congeniale. Il resto del servizio imbarazzante, forse imbarazzante è un complimento. Ci prendono la comanda dopo svariate persone arrivate dopo di noi, poi passano 45 minuti e dei nostri drink neanche l'ombra. Iniziamo a parlare tra di noi della pessima esperienza che stiamo vivendo quando una seconda cameriera si accorge (alleluia) che eravamo scontenti ma non ancora serviti! Ci chiede che drink avessimo preso e sparisce. Arriva un terzo cameriere che riprende da capo l'ordine, sbagliando un drink. Le bevande arrivano a mezzanotte e 20, mi hanno fatto passare la mezzanotte del mio compleanno davvero male ma soprattutto aspettando una comanda errata. Nonostante questo ormai siamo lì trovare posto in un altro locale sarebbe stato complesso decidiamo di restare e prendere un secondo giro; i drink arrivano errati un'altra volta. Aggiungiamo una cornice di camerieri inesperti che si sono rovesciati addosso vassoi interi di drink. Vado a pagare, espongo la situazione alla presenza anche dei titolari (direi dall'atteggiamento) che all'inizio increduli dell'episodio nell'hotel ci fanno uno sconto per buona creanza di 15 euro su 120 di conto.. una figura un po' barbina. Non posso che sconsigliare il posto, peccato perchè la terrazza è sponsorizzata da Saint Germain che faceva meglio a fare il suo investimento altrove ed il posto è molto bello ma il servizio...

I had an amazing experience dining at the Terrazza Mirador during my vacation in Rome, Italy. It was a highlight of my trip. The place has spectacular views of the Vatican, Castel Sant'Angelo and many other notable historic places in Rome. The place has a great, modern, comfortable, stylish and welcoming ambiance. The staff is highly professional, kind and attentive. As an American tourist I didn't have any language barriers as everyone stoke English in addition to their native Italian of course. Now the food was amazing and delicious paired with wine and some signature cocktails.
