YOU REALLY GOT ME ! on Monday, Sept 24th my wife and I were in the middle of a private guided tour of ancient sites in Rome, Italy...the Colosseum, Vatican City, Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica. Valeria our private tour guide brought us to a fabulous bakery / cafe to grab some lunch after our incredible tour of the Colosseum. When I get my hands on a delectable panino ( flatbread ) sandwich I need to pair it with a great tastin' beer. AND I DID ! Right next door was this pub and it served a good selection of Belgian beers and IPA's. YES PLEASE ! I couldn't believe my luck finding a good beer joint like this in Italy. I had been drinking very average Italian beers and unknown imported beers since we landed in Italy a few days ago. If I couldn't get hazy IPA's ( there were none ) then it had to be Belgian beers. A cool barman named Guglielmo helped me at the bar....he gave me a sample of a couple of beers and the St Benoit "Supreme" Belgian Strong Ale - 6.8% abv won the day. AND WHAT A GREAT BEER ! Well let me tell this excellent tasting beer paired perfectly with my scrumptious panino sandwich. SO GOOD ! In fact being starved of great tastin' beers I convinced my wife we needed to come back here. We got a taxi back to Campo de' Fiori the next day and did it all again. Panino sandwiches and a great tastin' Belgian beer for me. Oh and Guglielmo is a drummer in a local band....

I recently visited The Drunken Ship, a bar that caters to a young crowd, primarily from the United States. The atmosphere of the bar was nice, with a lively and energetic vibe. One of the standout features of the bar was the beer pong table in the back, which added to the fun and social atmosphere of the place.

However, my experience at The Drunken Ship was slightly dampened by the state of the bathroom. There was only one stall for both men and women, which led to long lines and wait times. To make matters worse, the stall lacked basic amenities such as toilet paper and soap, which made for an uncomfortable and unsanitary experience.

Overall, while The Drunken Ship has some great features, such as its fun and lively atmosphere and beer pong table, the state of the bathroom is a significant downside. I hope that the management takes steps to address this issue so that patrons can have a more comfortable and enjoyable...

Perfect spot for me to hang out...20 years ago :) Packed to the rafters with American college kids lucky enough to find themselves in Rome. The first question you'll get when you order a beer is "Are you a student?" (Well..if you aren't pushing 40 like me). The next question is "Is this for beer pong?" Presumably this is for a discount...not to deny service.

This would have been right up my alley a few years ago...but you'll have to fight your way through a crowd packt like sardines in a crushed tin box to get a drink. Grab a couple anyway, even if you are youth-challenged like myself. Then move on to the more relaxed bars that line Campo De Fiori. Or if you've still got the urge to play beer pong...well you probably didn't make it past the first sentence of my review. Enjoy the student discounts and the fact that you can deal with the hangover better than your...

I had a great time here. I found the staff to be friendly and attentive enough. The vibe (music and decor) is clearly geared towards the college-dive crowd.. but Im totally fine with that. The one bathroom's cleanliness needs more attention. (More for the female patrons' sake). It was very empty when I went (during the middle of the day of a windy work week), which worked out great for my group and I...until a strong gust of wind knocked over a couple of the giant outdoor dining umbrellas and sent the American flag on a collision course w/the back of my head (we were drunk enough to find all that hilarious at the time). Drinks and food were very decently priced, in my opinion (Salmon & avocado club sandwich for €10!! Hell yea!) They even gave us 4 free shots. I'm definitely coming back next time I'm in Rome.

Order food here if you have no self respect. They haven't realized that they live in the culinary capital of the world. I know, it's a pub and the food is not in focus. But this level of junk food is a criminal offence. I ordered fish and chips because I had to eat something urgent. What came after 20 mins of waiting was a disaster. Frozen fish pieces deep fried in burnt oil, on top of frozen French fries soaked in salt, which I was supposed to eat with cheap plastic fork and knife. Just gross. By far the worst food within 5 km diameter.

This bar is located in our the corners of campo de Fiori market. Our first time here. In a rainy afternoon in Rome, we stopped for coffee. The decor and ambience is very American. You can even see a big American flag 🇺🇸 as part of the decor. Basically you will feel as if you are in an American sports bar. Our waitress was Sep. I hope 🤞 not mistake on her name. She was very attentive and provided a great service. We enjoyed our coffee and the bar. Definitely recommend this place. Thanks.
