This place was amazing. The previous night we had met for a tour in the square and as we waited for the tour to start we looked at the nearby restaurant menus. The host gave us a history lesson on the square itself and it's namesake even though we advised we were not eating there. The information given was spot on.

The next night we returned for dinner and had 2 drinks each, main course, and one dessert. The total was only 72 euros. The pizza was the best I have had during our trip to Italy (I have had a few) while my wife had the octopus which she stated was tender and delicious.

The server was apparently a polyglot, speaking at least 3 languages proficiently and was cheery and friendly. The food came promptly without issue.

After 2 weeks of touring Italy this was the best meal we have had and certainly not the most expensive. This is the only restaurant we have bothered to review on our trip.

The sole issue is that the "service" is not included in the bill. Aka, you need to tip or are at least asked to do so. As someone from North America, tipping is the worst and we have enjoyed the lack of tipping in Italy. While we recommend the restaurant, I would much rather they just include service in the price of the food. Please don't ruin the dining experience in Italy by...

My friends and I (a group of 8) arrived and were seated immediately. We were seated at a table on the front outside of the restaurant. We were still covered by the big umbrellas, which ended up saving us from the trickles of rain.

Our lovely waiter was the absolute best and was more than happy to give us all of his personal recommendations. We used the QR code menus to look over the menu. The pictures make the dishes look smaller than they are, so you will definitely not walk away hungry, I promise you that. We ordered a bunch of dishes to all share and everything was extraordinarily delicious. The prices are reasonable, so you’re not compromising quantity for quality.

Our waiter would come and regularly check on us, have a bit of a laugh and made sure that all of us were topped up.

When going to pay, we were initially going to have one person pay and transfer between ourselves after. Our waiter however insisted that it would be easier for us if he split it up the whole 8 ways. The most lovely man once again making it such an amazing, easy experience.

I will be coming back, every time that I’m in Rome. If I could give it 10...

Okay, hear me out. The drinks were great, the atmosphere was nice, and the food was too. However, if the waiter tries to peer pressure you into getting the “special”…. DON’T DO IT!!!! I wanted to get the lamb because it sounded good to me and it was €23, but then he told me “why not get the special? its cheap!”. I said sure why not and got it. It came out in a flaming, sizzling plate which had a very good presentation. It looked expensive so I asked him, how much is this? SEVENTY FIVE EUROS FOR A STEAK!! It was as tough as a leather wallet and as salty as a handful of sand. I guess it is cheap for a kilo of dry-aged steak, but definitely not what I was expecting to spend that night for a mediocre steak. My friend who got the oxtail rigatoni was very satisfied. Long story short, the food was great (except the 75 euro steak), and the drinks were great with good price tags. I would definitely recommend this place but do not fall for the special peer...

Our visit to Giordi was that highlight of our trip to Rome. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. We ordered the calzone, a carbonara, gnocchi and spinach and ricotta ravioli. Every dish was amazing and I would highly recommend. They brought chilli oil for us, let us charge our phone, checking in on us often to make sure we had everything we need. Thank you to Anik and Sophia for the amazing service!! The wine was also well priced and delicious. The bill was extremely reasonable considering the quality of food and service. The location is also perfect. In a small market square surrounded by other small eateries the vibe of this location is perfect. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat in Rome I would recommend. We didn’t need to book and just walked in, and I would say a reservation is not required/ needed on a weeknight. Thank you again for the great experience!

Super runny buffalo mozzarella. Hard pass on this place. When in Rome, try the specials. We opted for the beef carpaccio with buffalo mozzarella and truffles, and a Caesar salad. The Cesar salad was okay but is made with traditional Caesar sauce, not the delicious homemade stuff you would expect from an Italian restaurant. The beef carpaccio was severely lacking in flavour. Herbs would have been nice, but the biggest disappointment was the mozzarella. You cut into it, and it was so runny. The attached picture does not even show how runny it was. All said and done, mostly inedible. Then at the end they indicate the tip is not included. Guilting you in to tipping. The service was good and prompt. The food was not worth it though. After receiving the response, I investigated. If the response from the proprietor is accurate we were served the wrong food. I have the receipt in hand.
