This 3-star review is meant for the smashburger I had.

I was hungry and I came here for a slice, but I saw they were selling smashburgers so out of cruiosity I gave it a try. The reason why I gave 3 stars is because of the carbonara sauce of the burger I had was good, cheesy cheddar, interesting “bun pizza homemade” concept, the atmosphere was chill and staff seemed cool. The patty, lacked the smashburger’s crispiness, browness, and lacy edges. I cannot call this a smashburger, it’s a regular burger, it wasn’t even that thin like it should have. It didn’t even come in hot, and I waited like 30 minutes. Taste and texture is mediocre for a €12 burger, but what can you expect from a pizzeria that’s trying to diversify its menu? Pizza slices looked good and reviews here speak for themselves, but I think selling burgers is unnecessary and from an operational standpoint there’s less resources for the pizzas, when it should be the priority. I had a much better vegan pizza up the street at Il Nipotino. Vegan was a difficult process at Zizzi. I am certain their other pizzas are fantastic, but my veggie pizza didn't come out too great. They left off the tomato sauce, so I had to drizzle cold watery tomato sauce on top. They piled on the spinach, which made it more watery. I bet they could make a kick-butt vegan pizza if you were very specific with them. I just said "all the veggies" and that didn't work out. Try this: Tomato sauce, mushroom, onion, olive, tomato slice, zucchini, no oil, with basil pesto on the side. Dip the basil pesto or spread it on to taste, it has all the oil you need. I make pizza just like that at home and its amazing... I bet Zizzi could...
