Really charming corner cafe that feels like an authentic time capsule of Rome in the 1960s. It's unpretentious, down to earth, and feels very genuinely Italian local despite being in a touristy area. The people watching is great, and the atmosphere is great. Service is fast in that the sole barmaid works quickly, but it may take a little while if she is alone. The place seems popular with locals, but not yet found by foreigners. The cheese and prosciutto grilled sandwich was alright, and I was able to order a cappuccino at noon without getting a dirty look. The real stars were the Cynar Spritz cocktail (a bitter, dark-colored, artichoke-based liqueur) and the bill coming in at less than ten euros....
Read moreWe’d like to share our breakfast experience at a local café in Rome. This little café was conveniently located near our B&B, and we stumbled upon it by chance on our first morning.
It turned out to be a fantastic find! The atmosphere felt very local and authentic, with a lot of character. The coffee was excellent, and the croissants filled with ham were also outstanding.
For the next few days, whenever we passed by or were looking for breakfast, we chose to return here.
One of the most memorable moments was when the Italian owner suddenly played a Chinese song — “Tian Mi Mi” by Teresa Teng — while we were eating. It was such a sweet surprise and really showed their warm...
