A touristy spot for people watching with overpriced price and terrible service(one of the worst I've ever had in Italy). I went there after reading good reviews on Google. An espresso(single) is ā¬2 and the service was terrible, especially a waiter(short height, short dark hair) with such a rude attitude. He was annoyed when I ordered an espresso and also asked for a glass of topwater with it(this is the most common thing for Italians to order their coffee but he didn't understand what topwater means so i said "naturale") and when I asked a bill, he came to me saying "ā¬2!!" with a hand opened. Literally to my face in an angry tone, asking for the money. WTF?! If you don't mind being mis-treated in this way while spending money, then go here! And don't be dare to try your imperfect Italian to talk them. Just talk to them in English only as they hate foreigners trying to speak Italian(to respect...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould give this place 0 stars if I could. My mum and I came into this restaurant after not being able to get a reservation in any others nearby. The restaurant was half empty but thought weād give it a go. Was seated by a staff member (who was lovely), only to be told right before we ordered that I did not fit their ādress codeā by who I assume is either the owner or a supervisor. Odd, since the gentleman that initially seated us did not inform us of this rule, their website does not state a dress code, and there is no signage indicating as such. I had a long flowy dress on that had my shoulders exposed. There were other guests wearing the same style of dress, who were not told to leave. Perhaps as a woman of colour he did not want my company at the restaurant. Nevertheless, found a much better restaurant a 2...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis is a typical tourist cafe. That being said, the prices are maybe 1 euro higher which is really not bad for a cafe located almost directly in the city center. I wanted to write a review though because of they are one of the few places I have seen with an English breakfast. It was 2 slices of white toast, two fried eggs, 3 slices of bacon, and a tomato/rocket salad. It was about 10-11 euro for the English breakfast so with a cafe late about 13-14 euro. Not bad for a very busy spot and the ability to watch people as they come and go. The service is good, but you will have to get their attention multiple times if you want something after the original order you place. Not unusual but something to note! I would recommend if youāre craving an English breakfast with some...
