El Puig D'Estelles — Restaurant in Turin

The pasta (carbonara) is super salty even without the cheese. The worse carbonara I ever had... Restaurant (café to be precised) overrated for sure. I can't understand where the 4.6 stars come from.

Atmosphere is homey and service is ok, however, a service charge was taken for 2€50 (without notice, just saw on the receipt ) in this small café in which considered overcharged, even more than a proper decent restaurant (2€).

Beverage was comparatively pricey than other restaurants as well.

1 pasta (13.9€) + bottle of ice tea from supermarket (4.1€) + charge (2.5€) At the end = 20.5€ For sure you can have better choice in the neighborhood.

Being arrogant & agressive won't improve your cooking skills, MANY comments of 1-2 stars also stating that your food is poor or carbonara is too salty (well, I'm not the only one). Maybe you can cook well sometimes....by luck, but not always!

Moreover, I'm comparing the cover charge with other restaurants (dining 40-50€ per head with 2€ charge and real restaurants that not like a small cafe shop). And it's true , even McDonald's has more stable level of food not like yours. You may consider to check your taste buds with doctor before continuing...

No homemade food. Worst wine in Torino. I cannot understand good reviews.

Update: the Ukrainian flag is totally fine for me, I come from Germany. We had a wonderful dinner yesterday in Torino with very good wine and great food and paid similar price. We were fascinated with piemontese tradition and wine. Unfortunately we have waisted our time in your restaurant. Red wine shoud not be served directly from refrigerator. Also quality was (in my opinion!) very poor and below Italian standard. Polipo was not fresh cooked. It did not meet our expectations and I want to prevent that other clients will have the same experience in beatiful...

Google Score == Maddness of Crowds Phenomenon BELOW AVERAGE FOOD BUT HIGH GOOGLE SCORE???

Mixed Salad: Greens and tomatoes. Tomatoes were flavorless. For marinating we got a small plastic package of olive oil?!

Main dish Carbonara: Pasta is from Barilla - Packages were on the counter. Pasta was al dente cooked BUT the CARBONARA SAUCE was FLAVOURLESS. The picture shows the point when we stopped eating. I asked for the bill. The owner took the plates but did not ask how the food.

That is why I question the high google score. But please go there and let me know if I am right or wrong and comment...
